Water4Petrol Water4cars -Scam or Miracle?

Petrol price goes sky rocketing now. I couldn't find any tips on how to saving petrol and diesel cost. So I just searched google and came up a website www.water4cars.co.uk claiming that you can convert your car or truck to a water-burning car (Water Hybrid) and saving fuel cost by 40%. I read through the site and it sounds quite genuine with videos and diagrams. But I still have my doubt, is there anyone here car mechanical who can judge that the following claims are viable:

Possibly double your mileage: Our road tests have achieved 50% increase on a heavy 350 V8 van, 56% on a Ford truck, 107% on a Toyota car. Imagine slashing your energy bills left and right!
Clean up emissions that damage your health and the health of your family. When burned, the "Brown's Gas" we produce turns right back into water! No harmful chemicals are emitted from this system. Since your engine would take LESS gasoline and BURN IT MORE COMPLETELY, the overall effect is dramatic reduction in harmful emissions. You'll be able to smell the difference.
Greatly enhance engine power and performance.
Remove carbon deposits and prevent future carbon build up.
Reduce engine temperature - protect your environment and your engine.
You will notice a calmer, quieter and much smoother engine & gearshifts. This is due to the effect water has on the combustion cycle inside your engine.
Enjoy a longer life expectancy of your engine, especially pistons, valves, rings and bearings.

Yes, it's too expensive and the government should lower the duty on it.

    Hiya, :)

We have a board dedicated to motoring issues so I'm going to move your post across there.

I'm pretty sure that you'll find schemes such as this mentioned already and you might find the comments interesting :)

It's a scam. Does it also make petrol from spam?
  • What a load of nonsense. Even if this did work and the system you were using was 100% efficient it would take the same amount of energy to extract the gas as you would get back from burning the gas in the engine. Since the system wont be 100% efficient there will be losses so you might as well just run on petrol.

Get real, if any of these scams actually worked, the BBC News would be full of it for weeks on end.

Not sure if this a scam or spam or both?

I was expecting an "is this a scam - yes/no" poll and was about to vote yes, but I saw some other BS spam.

Heh. Given that water is a combustion product, and is probably the least flammable substance in this universe, anything which claims to "burn water" either doesn't know what its talking about or is a scam. Or both.

Looking on that website, this "Brown's Gas" is claimed to be "HHO". Or, in other words, H2O. So they claim to burn, well, water in order to get... water! Great, it's a scientific miracle.

The whole thing is a big scam.

Yes. I have a special test for the OP.

Take a glass of water and strike a match and put it in the water.

Then take a glass of petrol and strike a match and watch what happens before you even dip the match into it.

Well yaoyao, I was going to accuse you of spam, but I'll let you off seeing as you have posted 11 other messages which have nothing to do with spam.

That particular website is a waste of time. They only supply a book on how to build their version and also instructions on how to deal with certain problems that might arise when doing the conversion on your car.
The worst thing about their instructions is the useless contraption that they tell you how to build, made by the looks of it, out of a jam jar and glue !!!

Using hydrogen as a fuel substitute is not impossible, but you need to build a pretty sophisticated hydrogen fuel cell, using stainless steel plates. Connecting it to your engine is simple. You only have to look on youtube to find people are doing this around the world. and they will give you links and information for free.

If you are not technically savvy then you can forget about this right now, because it will take you a long time and require a good workshop to get going.

I don't think these work by burning hydrogen - I thought it worked by changing the air mixture that fuel burns with - sensor then cuts off fuel or supplies less as it senses mix is different, and saves fuel. However, apparently, only a very very small difference and not worth bothering with.

    Or so I'm told.

People have known about these systems for ages - the only person that this benefits is the one whose receiving £50 for a worthless ebook.

Yeah it is all about hydrogen release and burn. quote from website
Here's the best-kept secret the energy lords have been keeping from you about Hydrogen-On-Demand: WHY COMPRESS HYDROGEN IN DANGEROUS HIGH-PRESSURE TANKS WHEN IT IS ALREADY "COMPRESSED" IN PLAIN WATER - AND CAN BE EASILY AND SAFELY RELEASED?

Though the method given in the ebook is next to useless.
