Is Tiscali any good?

Hi

I am looking for a broadband and home phone package.

Tiscali is the best buy I can find.

I would like to know how good are they in regard to installation, speed, help lines etc.

Has anyone had a good or bad experience with Tiscali?

I remember when Talk Talk first offered a good package the service was appalling.
I don't want to get involved with any problems.

    NO.

Couldn't wait to get rid of Tosscali, when I had them a few years ago.Moved to F2S,and was very happy with them, until they got bought out by,yes you've guessed it,Tosscali,so when my contract was up earlier this year, ditched them and am now with o2,and very very happy.

Search any forum, and see what others think of this buch of no hopers.

    beware Tiscali!

That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • I read the same warnings when I was looking to move to b/band earlier this year, my choices were limited because I am in a semi-rural area. I took the plunge and went with Tiscali wireless b/band.
I have not had any problems or loss of service, neither has my mate who lives on the next street.
    We have no complaints.

I'll go against the grain here and say how impressed I am with Tiscali!

I was with BT for about 3 years there and would be without internet access at least once a week as their homehub threw a paddy. My speed was a max speed of 1mb (usually stuck around the 0.6mb mark). I was never off the phone to them in India and paying £25 a month for the privilege.

Moved to Tiscali in August and I havent had the need to speak to them once. My speeds have increased to 2mb and I'm paying £15 a month (£7.50 for the first 6 months).

Wish I had moved to them earlier.
