Hi there I make loads of soups for hubbies flask including :-
Ham and pea...can be made using stock from cooking the gammon and some "soak your own peas" -although i add an onion and carrot
same again..stock with lentils or split peas or even broth mix-cooked then blitzed
Chicken n sweetcorn
ok i will stop now
I think that as long as you have plenty of flavour in the stock you can get away with adding little else...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
leek and potato?
Delia Smith's celery soup is gorgeous (and I don't even like celery) - and the ingredients list is reasonable

really easy ones that I make are:
pea & mint - tin of peas, tablespoon of mint sauce, little bit of water. Whizz all together = great!
broccoli - fresh or frozen, veg stock, simmer 20mins. Whizz all together = great!
carrot & coriander - fresh or frozen carrots, veg stock, dried coriander or paste - simmer for 30-40 mins then add coriander and whizz al together = great!
lentil & ham - veg stock, lentils, slice of ham. Simmer lentils 25mins, whizz al together, add chopped ham = great!
This is just the tip of the iceberg there are 100's of possibilities and all are 100% guaranteed taste better than anything out of any tin0 -

How about onion soup? The secret is to cook the onions until brown.
Fry garlic and loads of onions in butter or oil along with a sprinkle of sugar (helps caramelisation), add 1 potato and water (or stock if you've got any) s&p and a sprinkle of mixed herbs, simmer then whizz with blender serve with cheese.Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

My favourite soup is sweet potato and carrot. I usually add an onion and sometimes a potato or some lentils as I prefer the texture but it can happily be done without.0

Spicy tomato and lentil soup - in my slow cooker as we speak
1 tin of tomatoes, handful of red lentils, 1 chopped onion and veg stock. I also add ground coriander, mixed herbs and lea and perrins. All these things i always have in the cupboard so its not like i have to buy anything specially.
Mushroom soup - mushrooms, onion, milk, flour, butter, veg stock
Carrot and lentil - carrots, lentil, onion, veg stock and coriander

this week i made soup with sweet potato, butternut squash and chicken stock
I tasted it before seasoning...and decided it was nice enough as it was!
still, it was stock made from a free range chicken (yes, we've been watching Hugh FW) and I do think the flavour was better.weaving through the chaos...0
