Can I join please, I'm expecting number 4 on 31st August :eek: I have three boys already, 2 scans are both saying girl this time but I dont think I will believe it till I have seen the lack of winky with my own eyes!

Hmm. We have filled gnocchi in the fridge, and my wonderful husband (you know, it's been over two months since the wedding and I still like saying it) will make a sage and butter sauce for them. But what I really want is a quarterpounder and a chocolate milkshake.

This child has no taste. She gets it from her father, who "invented" mini hot dogs turned into millipedes last night. Apparently it's the perfect kid food: you poke dried spaghetti through uncooked hot dogs then boil the resulting thing together and serve with pasta sauce (and some vegetables, or else there will be a giant fruit salad as a perpetual accompaniment).

Hello everyone

Welcome to the newbies. Hope everyone is feeling OK.

Went to hospital this morning. I scared myself silly. I have been having dizzy spells all week but last night it was just awful - not known anything like it. Room was still but brain was spinning. This lasted most of the night - no real sleep. Couldn't lie down (got worse), couldn't sit or stand / walk. Try sugary tea, sweets etc.
Anyway 7 30 am woke hubby and called a cab. At 9 saw a lovely consultant who gave me a full exam - from my ears to downstairs! Took a urine sample. Came back and said no infections anyway and yes i am pregnant and just reacting strongly to the hormones. Felt very silly and he said no i wasn't as it is my first and therefore it is normal to be anxious. Plus because of previous gyny problems (which i didn't think mattered!) it was better to be safe than sorry. Hubby just hopes the rest is going to be plain sailing!

On a lighter note i told my dad about the baby this morning and he brought round a huge bunch flowers (he lives a 2 hr drive away!) and said he was sooo pleased that he is going to have a grand child (fingers crossed!)

I just want the 1st scan now!

God, i'm SO far behind, oh well, here' my feeble attempt at catching up!

jokes- I know one quite good pregnancy related joke, wanna hear it? It's a bit rude though!!

Disposable nappies- We've bought a load of little lambs nappies, they are adorable and the reviews are good and i've spoken to people and they like them.

Fitzio -OOO....this Brio Sing sounds good, i'm tempted, i thought we were decided on the Quinny buzz but it does look interesting!

Mrs MOc- Glad you're getting to go home for a bit, it must be SOOO frustrating!

Good to hear from you EA, i know it's not much consolation but at least you can have a little drinky on holiday, I'm sure you'll be back soon and we're all looking forward to having you back when the time is right...
