I got some spare electric razor foils and electric toothbrush heads from Boots that were reduced to £1/50p each... they sold for £4-7 each.

Got a really tacky Jack Daniels hip flask for xmas a few years ago.. sold for £28

Fantastic thread- perhaps people could post any rare books thay have sold on Amazon for loads too? We could keep our eyes out for them then.

Hope its ok my bumping this thread to the top but I have made a bit of money recently purchasing parts from a scrapyard and flogging them on ebay for a hell of a lot more. I have spent out £74.00 on 8 parts in the last month and made myself a not to shabby £563.

Awesome. I want this thread to be bumped all the time with new stuff. I was looking around this wkend for stuff that people had pointed out in this thread.

  • I bought an Anya Hindmarch bag from EBay for £80, new with tags. They normally cost around £150 but I think the buyer got it in the sales. I used the bag for the next year and then got a bit bored of the style so I put it on EBay. It sold for £85 :D So technically I was paid £5 to use the bag for a year - I wish the rest of my wardrobe could fund itself in this way :p

Otherwise, I sell CDs that I occasionally get as freebies from my job. They don't get as high prices as they used to, but there are still occasional peaks. Two people got in a bidding war last year over a James Last Christmas CD (yes, seriously!) and it sold for £26.50  - you can get it in the shops for about £7.

I also once sold a Jam CD for £14 and the buyer thanked me putting it on EBay because he'd "been searching for it for absolutely ages". Not sure where he'd been "searching", but it was available new on Amazon at the time for £3.99. :rotfl:

I find Games Workshop stuff sells pretty well - although you really have to know your stuff. Properly labelled and described, you can get loads of bids, particularly if it's out of production (or OOP as it's known in the trade). I find describing any and all defects often INCREASE your bids - I think people figure that if you were going to lie you describe it as perfect. Therefore you *must* be totally honest.
