I've got all this from a leaflet (Trying to upload now!) But it's worth holding off buying until next week to get it cheaper!
Also some HOT OFFERS which will be something from each department 1/2 price, but it doesn't say what yet.

Will have a go at uploading now, wish me luck!
I hope this helps some1.

Debenhams has confirmed it's running a three day 25% spectacular 14, 15 & 16 May. Some concessions will be excluded from the promotion though.

Just so people know - be careful when buying things in a Debenhams sale as if it you want to take it back they won't change it - I had a nightmare with them with a coffee machine we bought - just thought I'd share it with you!0

Surely that's illegal? Just because an item is in a sale, it does not reduce your consumer rights or the Sale of Goods Act. e.g. must be fit for the purpose it was sold.
I would have a little chat with trading standards about that....
Cheers,

They have a tiny notice behind their counter saying you cannot take sale stuff back - I had a right nightmare with them and coffee machine is still in my garage!!0

Had this 2 weeks ago, was bloomin annoyed! Bought coat for next winter that was in a clearance area. Took back as thought colour looked drab on me. Was told no refunds if you simply change your mind, only if there is a fault. So annoying as not easy negotiating changing rooms with children.
Was told when I purchased clothes in m&s last week, that all sale items are now excluded from returning unless faulty, the tickets are now stamped too! Had DS with me and it is impossible to get buggy and yourself in a changing cubicle, so gave up!0 -
Thats not quite right,
the back of the receipt says " Items reduced by 50% or more we offer exhange only, for product or onto a giftcard"
You can return, swap or get a giftcard. Just not refund/cash.
If you pay with a Debenhams card you get a full refund.
This event isn't reduced items, it's up to 25% off of everything.
The prices will go back up after the 3days.
Also they have a Spectacular price promise
"If an item purchased during the Spectacular is unwanted, the customer can swap it for another item within 28days and we will honour the spectacular discount"
"eg. a customer can exhange a dress for a saucepan set and receive the discount on the saucepan set"
Thats a little more factual about the returns policy.I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0 -
Thanks for the heads up on this. I'm looking for a new radley bag and was going on the hunt this weekend but might wait in case debenhams offer any discount on them during this promotion.0

just to add, at christmas i bought an ornament half price, decided i didn't need it and exchanged it very easily for a bed sheet. so in my experience, they will.0 -
The law doesnt say you can get a refund on anything if you change your mind.
Legally, if you buy something and change your mind, you've got no recourse.0 -

The other thing about not giving refunds I noticed which I didn't think was strictly legal, they refuse to give refunds or exchanges between christmas and new year due to it being busy. I've never known a store to be so sticky about refunds because they don't think you should have one. Their staff never seem very well informed either.
I had an issue the other day with an email offer I'd been sent with an expiry date of June, they wouldn't honour it as she said it says "get your discount in store today" and today wasn't the date on the email! I hadn't the time to stand and argue to I said just keep the item, I'd go elsewhere.0
