Bissell Lift-Off Vacuum (Reconditioned) £39.95

Got beaten to he post on HUKD so posting it here:

We have one of these and it excellent! Beats dysons and the rest by a mile!

They are like new when they arrive by the way! AND FREE P+P!

The Bissell lift-off Vacuum cleaner utilises the latest in vacuum technology by giving you 2 vacuums in one.

With its ability to separate into a smaller more managable vac with the "Grab and Go" handle, and its own stair cleaning tool you will find cleaning those normally hard to reach areas a breeze. When combined with its base unit it provides powerful suction with its dual motor system. You can tell when its time to empty the Bissell Lift-Off by looking at the easy empty clear view window. It also comes with a telescopic floor nozzle which means no more stooping and a 30ft cord so no size room will be out of reach.

I got one in the sales in January and I am really chuffed with mine too - paid a lot more than £40 though!!! I find it a really good machine and so handy for the stairs to be able to turn it into a cylinder and as an upright it certainly "grooms" the carpets.

I have been looking at the reconditioned models for a while as I fancy a carpet cleaner but was worried what they would be like but that has given me a bit more belief in them knowing that yours turned up as new. Thanks

Thanks both for your recommendations. Been looking for a decent and cheap vacuum for a while and this certainly seems to fit the bill. Well, I've just ordered one, so fingers crossed that it's not an old 'knacker' that arrives!

looks great - thanks OP. With the review with it @ £150 on Amazon all saying its better than the Dyson at that price I ordered one. How long do they tend to take to deliver please?

Mine took 3 days so all is well. You only have to screw in the handle and that is it.

You will not be dissapointed its so much better and easier to use than the dysons and others.

Forgot to mention that is has a motor powered brush also that is fantastic and basically moves forward on it own. Also has adjustable heights so can do thick carpet and bare floors no problems.

My only complaint was that some people get the added stair cleaner and some do not.
We rang to say ours was missing, but my mother in laws got hers, to be told it's the luck of the draw with the refurbs

Our refurb one is still going strong from a year ago. I too didn't get the added stair cleaner and Bissell would not give in on it despite loads of emails.

The only minor problems are some may come with 'marks' and scratches on them. The handle has worked slightly loose (the plastic thread inside where the securing screw fits has worn and it cannot be tightened properly). The dirt collecting compartment is a little small and requires emptying very frequently.

I still think the Dyson is far better performance wise but for the money this is a very good buy.

I purchased one of these about a year ago as well. Took a while to arrive as it was posted on various bargain sites and they were inundated. A few people ended up with the model up as they couldn't meet demand. Still going strong. Cosmetically it's very nice! The dust compartment is a pain to empty and you need to do it outside or you'll just scatter dust everywhere. Also this hoover is VERY heavy! Does the job though and would definitely purchase from them again.

I bought one last year with no probs. My Auntie also bought one, but the motor smelt of burning and they replaced it no problem :o
