Hmmm, good question Halloweenqueen - to be honest I can't remember! :-/ I looked at lots of different recipe websites, including the beauty recipes section on https://www.recipegoldmine.com, and a few others that were either mentioned on here or I Googled for. Then I copied the recipes I liked the look of, and adapted them as I went along.
I'm now working from my own adaptations of the recipes, and making up new ones to suit the occassion (like a super-hydrating bath milk and oil mix I used on Monday when I was VERY hungover from a friend's homemade wine!) but I'll look out some onformation from my notes at home tonight and let you know tomorrow.
The main ingredients I use for the bath products are varying proportions of sea salt, dead sea salt, table salt, sweet almond oil, olive oil and dried milk, along with my essential oils - Tea Tree and Peppermint for "Refreshing", Lavender and Cedarwood for "Relaxing" and Rosemary and Lime for "Uplifting." I used the Tisserand website (I think!) to research the properties and which oils work well together, then it was trial and error to find which ratios of the oils work best together.
Hope that helps a bit and I'll get back to you with more info tomorrow.0 -
Thanks - I'll look forward to it!0

Hi Halloweenqueen, here’s my recipes as I used them:
Body Scrub:
1 cup sea salt
1 cup Dead Sea salt
3 TBS Sweet almond oil
3 TBS olive oil
Makes about 3 x 200g jars
Bath Milk:
0.5 cup sea salt
0.5 cup Dead Sea salt
1 cup table salt
0.5 cup powdered milk
Makes about 3 x 200g jars
Bath Salts:
1 cup sea salt
0.5 cup Dead Sea salt
0.75 cup bicarbonate of soda
Makes about 3 x 200g jars
For Scrub, Milk and Salts, I mixed all the ingredients together in ice cream tubs, then put them into the small jars before adding approx. 5 drops total of essential oil to each jar, using the following mixes:
Refreshing – Peppermint & Tea Tree, 3:2
Relaxing – Lavender & Cedarwood, 3:2
Uplifting – Lime & Rosemary, 3:2
Peppermint Lip Balm
How I made it (I think – I can’t quite remember!):
1 TBS beeswax granules
1 TBS solid coconut oil
few drops peppermint oil
Made 4 x 15ml jars
Pink Lip Gloss:
2 tsp beeswax granules
1 tsp lipstick
1 tsp petroleum jelly
Made 2 x 15ml jars
For Lip Balm / Gloss, I melted the ingredients together in a jar in hot water, poured into small jars and put into the fridge to set.
Hope that inspires you!0 -

Great post Ms Thrift, I'm hoping to make some bath milk, what kind of jars did you use?“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

I've just done comparison of the ingredients in the LIDL shampoo (1litre) and the LIDL foam bath (2 litre) and they are exactly the same ingredients!! Will do a price comparison when i go down there! I used the tesco value brand conditioner (29p) and it is fine, don't notice any difference.0

Done the price comparison. 42p for the foam bath (2l) and 33p for the shampoo (1l).0
