Hi all,
Searched the forums and couldn't find this anywhere else - just got an email from Moneysupermarket today linking to this Barclaycard offer.
http://www.barclaycard.co.uk/landing/platvoucher_oct.html?TC=AFMSG15992
Apply before 22nd October, spend any amount on the card before 30th November and they'll give you a free £50 voucher (first, they send you a voucher form which you have to fill out and return before 31st December).
Hope this is useful, I checked the Ts and Cs and everything looks OK, let me know what you reckon.

Took one out in my name earlier today as free £50 very good.
Anyone know if my wife can now sign up for one too and get another free £50. There is nothing on there about one per household?

Hi,
This might be a very silly question but I have never had a credit card before, how do you pay it off? Do you have to send a cheque/bank transfer/pay with debit card?
This is a very tempting offer but I am a worrier and would want to pay off my minimum spend as soon as I need to, do you get billed for it at the end of the month or can you pay it off before then?
Once I have received my £50 voucher could I then cut up the card or tell barclaycard I no longer wish to have it?0 -
I applied for my card just before this £50 offer came one.........
Do you think they would extend it to me still?
Esspecily considering ive just cleared of my balllance in full for my first month of £2750 -
mumma2one - they send you a paper statement with your balance on it, on the previous Barclaycard I had, I could pay it off by phone, in the branch, or make a transfer online. Let's say you spent £40 on it during November: you get a statement on 23rd November with all your spending up to that date, and it will tell you to pay it by, say, 14th December - or 10th December if you're doing it in a branch with cash or cheque. (That's just an example.) But equally, you could take the amount you owe and pay it sooner than the statement, or sooner than the 14th December. That's based upon my experience of a Barclaycard, not THIS specific card. But I can't imagine they manage them differently.

Once you've gotten the £50, then yes, you call Barclaycard and tell them to CLOSE the account, and then cut the card up. But check the T&Cs to see if there's a penalty if you cancel after fewer than x months after the £50...I didn't see one, and I can't imagine there is, but I'd hate to be categoric and then find there's a hidden rule!
chinbergs - they don't do immediate approvals online. They will process your application and get back to you.
qwackerz - they are clear that if you already have a card, you can't apply. But it can't hurt to ask.
I cancelled my Bcard after 11 years of being with them (purely because I got a new cashback card and I don't need more than one CC), and that account closed two weeks ago. They probably think I did it knowing this was coming, but I really didn't!' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
Mine was left as your card will arrive in the post soon if you pass our credit checks.
Then it says buy something, any amount, by 30/11 and then we'll send you the voucher claim form within 14 days of that purchase, then £50 will be mine for kids clothes in the M&S sales!!!0 -
would this be the offer that is mentioned on the home page of this site ?0

Did anyone get an instant decision? I applied for myself (on Friday) and my boyfriend (today) and neither of us got an instant decision. We both do normally.0
