Quick question if I may for the Apple Braid recipe, how long can I leave the dough to rise with filling in?? I know it says 30 minutes but I am going to have to go to work, can I put it somewhere until this evening??0

wow everyone seems so busy.
i've realyl let things slip lately. i only seem to be able to get through the bare basics in the day. i am so bogged down with so much i can't seem to do anything. yet when i do get some baking done , i feel amazing.
i made some bakewells other day. hubby iced them for me. bless him, the icing to thin it looks like they have a layer of shiney dust on them. however still taste great tho.
i got 6 weeks 5 days till baby due. so i want to get freezer in order and all organised with some tasty meals in there , so hubby and kids can eat well with little effort.
Now i need some help please.
I've seen in morrisons garlic and cheese dough balls. ( in the fresh pizza section) now they not very expensive £1.20 per pack. but i can't help thinking i can easily make my own and for much cheaper and also knowing excatly what in them.but i don't have a clue how to make them, does anyone have any idea's.
I was gonna buy a pack to cook then go from there making the recipe up myself. but i thought it must be simple enough to try to make myself without buying a pack first.
All ideas welcomed.

Stick it in the fridge and it will continue to rise but at a much slower rate so wont over-rise before you get home from work
JCR16 glad that you and the bump are coming along nicely.As for the dough balls.I've made these and I just made up normal bread dough.Divided into walnut sized balls and then I melted some butter and gently sauteed some crushed garlic and herbs in it.When the doughballs are risen and ready to go into the oven.Drizzle the garlic/herb butter over the top and bake until lovely and golden and eat straight away as they really dont keep

That's what I would do too if I couldn't be around. A slow rise makes a much better dough too.

If I was going to freeze them with solid garlic and herb butter pats on top IYKWIM.Then you could plonk it straight in the oven from the freezer and cook on a lower heat for slightly longer and the butter will melt and not burn

As always some lovely ideas, i like the garlic dough balls one and will try that one soon.cake for christening smells great and i have made a template from one of the books on flower fairies,with the letter E for her name although, i am not to sure that it may look OTT.

I am doing some baking today as well as the form....have a loaf in the BM and a marmalade loaf in oven at the mo....still have buns to do and some of DS beloved gingerbread men.
Doing some HM garlic bread later and Hm canneloni.
