Thanks for that code Stoneman. Added it to my Lyft account at Heathrow and used it for our Lyft to Westin last night when we arrive.

Well it''s hot here just now, really warm when we went out last night at nearly 10pm! We stayed out and hour and a half maybe, walked through Linq promenade, Cityzen drinks at AmeriCAN, then over to Cromwell for some slots. Won $10 but never managed to get a free drink. Seems really busy. It's 5am, been awake over an hour (yes, the jetlag). Pool this morning, then picking up our hire car at TI at 3pm.

We must have just missed you. You might have seen Tracy's ambulance racing down Flamingo at about 11pm last night.
Yep that's right, she's been in hospital again. Took a turn in Palazo so I taxied her back to Platinum, by the time we got there she was really bad so they phoned an ambulance. Seems to be another kidney infection. She's back at the hotel now in bed, so we'll just have to see how the rest of the holiday turns out
Makes me not want to bother coming again. This is the umpteenth time she has taken Ill, and it's not just the odd day, these usually wreck the holiday and to be honest I'm fed up of spending all this money
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Stoneman ....have they checked whether it is a kidney stone??? I was plagued with infections and finally had all the scans ect.and it turned out to be a stone that was blocking my kidney( it was only functioning at 10%).We went in Oct last year just after I had had surgery on it and I have to say I was terrified of it starting again....sympathy to poor Tracy.
  • Sorry to hear that, is she doing ok now? Tell her we were asking for her, wish her a speedy recovery. We're nearby, and have a car just now, so drop me a message if there's anything we can do.
  • We've been here for 4 nights now, currently staying at Westin. Have been enjoying the pool in the mornings, as it get sun very early so we've been out there at 930 or 10am. Still a bit jetlagged, but think I slept for 7 hours almost solid last night so getting there. Quite liking the Westin. We usually stay at Platinum and we're moving there in 2 days for the rest of our holiday. Westin is nice and handy for Linq though, and it also has a '5 till late' happy hour at the pool. Enjoyed this one night after being out in the car all day, think it was Saturday. Unfortunately their idea of 'late' must be different to ours though as the last couple of nights the bar has been closed when we've passed by for a drink before bed. Not long after 9 last night! Other positives about here is the fridge in the room. Good for keeping some soft drinks cold. The casino has closed completely here, looks like that is permanent, though I don't know what they're doing with the space. The parking is also free and it's self park which I really like too.

We've been doing a bit of shopping. So far have been at south outlets, Henderson, Summerlin. We did Wolfgang Puck $25 off 2 entrees at Summerlin yesterday. Bill was $8 for a pizza, veggie burger and a soft drink. Bargain! We've also got the rewards for Cucina and Spago, so will see how that goes.

Might go out for breakfast shortly, but can't decide where.

    from Secret Flying - http://www.secretflying.com/posts/dublin-ireland-to-las-vegas-usa-for-only-e387-roundtrip/

    some really interesting prices.
Play around with the dates and also bring down the total journey time to give some attractive options. (BA depart Dub rtn for €324 for 8 nights in March for example)

  • We have now used another few deals up....groupon for Fizz, it was really good. Also Blondie's groupon $50 value. Should have been $30 but I had a half price code so got if for $15! We went over the value but really enjoyed the food. The pizza was great, but it was a bit overpriced if paying full price (about $21, big enough to share but not huge). We were at Spice Market buffet, using the $5 coupon and TR points from Social Rewards. We didn't realise the buffet was much smaller due to the refurb/water leak. Still sufficient options, though no pizza or pasta which was odd!

Been getting the odd drink using Cityzen at American or PBR as well. I recommend this app if you will be in the general area. Also went to Burger Brasserie happy hour to use some TR points. Slowly getting through them!

We move from Westin to Platinum today. We went over to attempt check-in but were offered a choice of 2 rubbish rooms (4th and 5th floor, one beneath kilawat, the other right next to the pool entrance. They also wanted an early check-in fee for the privilege, so hopefully we'll get a better room when we go back later. We have got a late check out now at Westin so can just hit the pool here instead. It's a bit of a nicer pool anyway, and the sun is on it from early on. I've enjoyed staying here actually. It feels so much more convenient than last time we stayed here, now that Linq is there etc. Very handy for the back door of Bally's too.

Off to the pool to catch some rays now. :)
