There have been some in M, at 50p:). However, I doubt that M have them anymore, which is a sure sign that they will have them somewhere:rotfl:. I suspect many people will not just be able to go to M and find them.

I picked these up last year, but almost always in just one of my regular Ms. If I hadn't felt that security was getting suspicious of me:eek: at one store, I might never have got them at all - or probably only when I went around a lot more Ms farther away. I changed store and it was my new store that had them.

They first appeared with a SEL of 50p. After a couple of weeks the SEL vanished:D. I suspected they continued to be 50p and, on one occasion, scanned them and they were: in any event, they remained on my list at 50p. Then they disappeared:(. However, this was the time at which they appeared in another of my regular stores - for a single week and then they vanished without trace from there.

I think this caused me to remove them wrongly from my list. I assumed that everything that M sold, apart from items that were local to another region and maybe some highly specialist items, would be in my local Ms and that, when these items (there is a Sugar Free and a non-Sugar free version) weren't there that this meant that M no longer had them. Weeks into several months went by. Then, all of a sudden, :huh: the item suddenly appeared in my regular M where I'd first found them months ago. There was no SEL and they remained there for there for several months. Of course, with their reappearance, I put them immediately straight back onto my list (after, it now turns out, probably being absent for a few months when they were still available in some M).

Eventually they disappeared from my store again. I think I still kept them on my list as, by this stage, I was now aware that M would very likely have some items even if they have disappeared from all my stores. However, weeks went by, and I was not finding them anywhere else despite visiting more Ms, so I removed them from my list:eek:. Then there was a report on here, brought over from hotdeals I think, of Irn Bru cans being 50p in M. I posted and said "Still kicking around?" I reinstated them on my list, as it was clear that some M still (or maybe only just then) did have them.

I was still going around more stores and hadn't yet found them again. However, quite soon afterwards, probably a couple of weeks later, I found them, in just one store, and indeed they were in M. That was the only store in which I saw them at that point - it wasn't one of my regulars so I could not keep track of it but kept it on my list as clearly it's still available in M. It was a single store out of 40 for me so it suggests it really wasn't available in many Ms in the country at all, probably only about a dozen or so. That's assuming my sample wasn't under-representative or over-representative, but they certainly didn't seem to be in many Ms to me.

I kept them on my list, now aware that, even if something wasn't in my regular stores, it would likely be in some M somewhere. I wasn't going to make the mistake of wrongly removing them again.

They have actually been back to my regular store since - a quite unexpected sudden appearance, again without SEL. At this point, it was around a single pack of each version. This was even at times when the stock of the other Irn Bru, 8x330ml common in nearly all stores, was depleted. I pushed the 4x500ml ones to the back of the shelf to try to keep them in my store, so that I could continue to see that they were "still available in M" and sure enough, without a SEL, they remained there unbought. Eventually more Irn Bru 8x330ml filled the shelf but I pulled it out and dug to the back of the shelf and, sure enough, the cans were still there. BB date December 2016. I had them scanned, to see if they were still 50p after so long - and they were. So I put them back, behind all the stuff.

I've tried again since though, and they have gone:(. So, I'm left with no evidence that they are in M anymore. Weeks and months have once again passed - and they are still on my list but, to be honest, in the last couple of weeks - I've really not seen them for quite some time now - I have been having my doubt about whether they really are still available in M (i.e. some M somewhere). I think they may now, for maybe the past couple of weeks, been on my list even though they are no longer available in any M at all. So, it may seem they are probably there in error now - however I am absolutely sure that if I ever remove them they will either immediately or after a few weeks turn up for me in some M!:D Items always do - they almost always have so far anyway - and I've learned that, the very moment I delete something, it will turn out to have been in error. I've been saying on here I should keep everything permanently on my list now (unless it's items going off offers and back up to full price) as it will always turn up somewhere - even after several months of me not seeing it in any stores I happen to have been to.

So, I'm not removing the items (the two versions of this Irn Bru) from my list. They've now been absent for me for so long though, that I am, in the last couple of weeks, now starting to think that my list is in error to include them. I've been thinking whether they really are still in M somewhere or whether they have now completely gone. Last weekend I was at the point of almost deleting them - it's been that long since I've seen them and, this week, I'm in even more doubt about whether they truly could be stocked by M. I've not seen them in about 20 new Ms for me in the past month or so and was almost going to remove them from my list. I've been to a further 20 or so different Ms since, and I've not found them in any of them. After this, I am thinking that they are now no longer stocked by M at all and I'm even closer to deleting them now.

However, if I do so, I think that will turn out to have been wrong. (I've just, on Friday, found an item that I've deleted, reinstated and deleted again - that has been absent for me for several months now - only for a store, at this stage, to turn out still to have significant stock of this other RTC item. I assume the Irn Brus were RTC anyway - I don't think that was ever clear in the stores I saw:rotfl: and it just had 50p SEL, sold out, came back without a SEL and remained in my store until it finally went. I'm seriously doubting whether M stocks them anymore. But - I've just refound this other item (and another one, too, that got deleted several months ago:rotfl:) and, whilst I think the Irn Bru may now be on my list in error, as no M stocks it, I wouldn't be surprised if it did turn up again, eventually, after ages, in some store that I pick to visit. I don't know whether M does stock them anymore. I bet they do though:rotfl:, despite my now been in the most doubt I have had as to whether they are still in some M. I would have thought it was unlikely. However, these other items are clearly still there. Believe me though, if the Irn Bru is in your M, you will have, I think, hit upon an item that really isn't available in many other Ms at all.)

I'm keeping the 50p Irn Brus on my list - even though I am doubting whether they should be there at all. (They also obviously, at 50p, very good price and certainly should be on my list from that POV; but I'm doubting whether they should really be there because I think, more strongly now, that M does not have them at all. I'm 'sure' that's wrong!:rotfl:)

That looks like it may be one of your As. I was going to suggest buying them and claiming APG:rotfl: on the basis that someone somewhere would doubtless be able to support that they are available in their M at 50p - and therefore with the price collectors almost inevitably failing to find them (my 80+ stores have had just three hits and they have now vanished from there - they I think check just six so are they likely to be there...? - though it's possible that they may have appeared, and be in, some store I've visited but am unable to visit again), that A guarantees to be 10% cheaper than M so has to make good to you. However, the item is not on a.com - or if it is, it may be on a.com somewhere else in the county and I'm not seeing it?:think: - but it doesn't appear to be on a.com and therefore is excluded from the guarantee anyway:(. I'm "sure", although on the basis of no evidence that I am now seeing at all, that M has these at 50p - and that's it's likely to do so (again I have no evidence) until at least the end of this year.

in the freezers in my mr t's i got a 6.9 kilo turkey RTC for £10.50 the other day i didn't have room in my freezer so defrosted it & had a roast yesterday with plenty left to do a couple of turkey currys & turkey & stuffing sandwiches for the whole family :rotfl:
