Both yesterday and today I've had my porridge with golden syrup and soup - yesterdays was an itsu noodle cup and today was a tin of baxters beef and vegetable soup. Not the most exciting of foods, but it's stuff that I've got in the house anyway.

I've been playing around on my online banking and have hidden all but one of my accounts. I have set up an automatic transfer from a few others into this and this shall be used for all of my "spendy" money - petrol, groceries, clothing, and so on.

The bank account that my wages go into also has all of my direct debits set up and will house most of my surplus money. Hopefully it works :rotfl:
  • Cheese and onion rolls, crisps and a HM banana muffin for me today :D

Of Course :) found it on the Grocery Challenge thread there are some really good ones on there :) recipe is:

    2½ cups self-raising flour (600 ml)
    ¾ cup brown sugar (80ml)
    1 cup milk (240 ml)
    1 egg
    2 tablespoons margarine
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    2 ripe bananas

Combine milk, egg, margarine, vanilla and bananas, and blend in a mixing jug.
Place flour and sugar in a large bowl. Mix in milk mixture.
Pour mixture into a greased muffin tray.
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 180°C.

They are really yummy!! (ate about three last night!!) I didn't have the brown sugar so used bog standard sugar instead and they turned out fine :)

    Afternoon Everyone!

Freyasmum, i have added you now, sorry for the wait!

Chocolatelover, thanks for that recipe. I'll add it to the front list :)

Todays LTW was a whole tin of tomato soup. I am trying to use up the tins that i have lurking in the back of the cupboards, hence the soup. But it's quite chilly and autumnal today, so soup was quite nice :)
  • Started work at 3.30 today so had lunch at home (had some fish pie I made the other day)
Although must admit I did buy myself a chocolate bar and a drink on the way to work so I'm not going to count today :( slap on the wrist for me!

  • Evening all,

Quick update. Continuing to take all food to work from home. I even made a bacon & egg buttie and coffee to go this morning. Did find me and a colleague had some time to kill between visits so went to a bar for a coffee today (£2). Not bad in a whole month though, I'll take that!! I'm off until the weekend due to half term, one more shift to go!!

    Happy Sunday everyone,

    Good Morning!

Dont forget your LTWs today! I will be home in time for lunch, might have some porridge and fruit :)
  • Hello

Is it too late in the month to join this challenge? There's a week left so 5 days of lunches to bring from home and today was a tasty ham roll made by hubby last night.

I have a multi-pack of crisps to last the week out too...

At least if I join now I won't forget and miss the start of the November challenge!

    Hope this is OK :D

  • :hello:Welcome to the thread LMD

I can't see why you couldn't join the thread now. I'm sure WTBSE will pop along at some point to welcome you. Good luck with taking LTW. I think this thread has saved me a fortune this month. Hoping we see it again in Nov.
