Vodafone....how long is a piece of string...

Hi Lee,
Sorry again that I missed your call today. Unfortunately I am unable to take calls during work hours unless it's over my lunch break, which is 1:30-2:30pm.
The replacement nano SIM I was told would be issued during a phone call to 191 on Sunday has not yet arrived. I tried calling tonight to find out dispatch information but the call didn't go very well and I'm still none wiser about the status of the new SIM.
It's coming up to 11 days now without a SIM in my new phone. Carrying two phones has got a bit old and I'm still waiting on the call back from a manager, which was discussed on Saturday with another team member on 191.
I was close to selecting the "thinking of leaving us" option as this is just starting to really upset and frustrate me. I'm spending so much time on this.
I will be available to talk on my lunch hour tomorrow if you would like to still speak with me. I just really need someone to help tell me what's going on / going wrong.
As an aside I can confirm that I've tried the online SIM swap twice, turning the phone off and on, numerous 191 calls for a SIM swap and a live chat attempt also. So really I need some guidance.0 -
Hi IrishJess85,
I'll try to reach you this afternoon.
Kind regards,
Lee

nice to see Lee is working to resolve this problem....No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0

apologies for hijacking this post, but as its Vodafone related and Lee seems to be a helpful Vodafone representative.......
Lee - once you have sorted out this problem can you look at the issue I reported online about Vodafone not providing the NUC for my iphone ?
I've provided all of the details, spoken with customer services, but the NUC department would appear to be ignoring not only this customer, but also your own staff.
Some / Any help would be gratefully appreciated.0 -
@kbear105 you might be better posting on the actual "Vodafone complaints thread" as Lee will only usually revisit here from time to time...No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0

@kbear105...no problem...as for our own problems...I guess Vodafone won't be on my daughters Xmas card list this year....not looking too good here, 2 weeks now and unable to use her phone....difficult situation now getting worse as we approach Christmas....I'm feeling bad I said she should stay with Vodafone....I might be off her Christmas card list as well....which is not nice as she certainly won't be able to phone me at Christmas....hope Lee can do a quick job getting this sorted....No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0

@kbear105 ... I hope you manage to get your issue resolved.
Just as a heads up I did try to speak with someone at Vodafone today and was told they couldn't help me with my query because they are completing a system upgrade so it means they can only deal with non-account queries. Just in case you were going to contact them on Live Chat or 191 today.
I hope you get everything sorted though. I'm now on day 14 without the use of my new phone. I have been carting around two phones and had intended to just leave them at home but my grandmother has taken ill and is in hospital in Northern Ireland so my parents need to be able to call / text me with updates.
I fly home to Northern Ireland next week and with my replacement SIM still not arriving a week after it was ordered, I'm doubtful I'll get home with just one phone lol. I don't live in town so it involves petrol and car parking tickets, or a metro ticket, just to get to a local store on an evening once I eventually finish work. It's been such a drain on me recently!!
But @kbear105 Lee stayed true to his word and rang me last week to chat about the issue so I do think if you can find someone from Vodafone who is willing to help, you should hopefully get some answers.
Good luck0 -
oh dear...Day 19 and still can't use her new phone because Vodafone can't sort her sim card...AND she's soon to be traveling home for Christmas without a properly working phone...so no chance of her being able to contact anyone if there's any difficulties.....
so come on Vodafone...how hard can it be to sort this? I'm sure my 93 year old mum (her grandmother) in hospital would love to hear from her...
btw Lee.....I know you got me up and running....but I still haven't heard what caused all the problems at Vodafone's end when they denied I had an order back at on the 20th August?
so....how long is a piece of Vodafone string?....infinite when it comes to sorting things....if it wasn't for Lee on here, it looks as if Vodafone as a company would do nothing....perhaps in view of the number of problems, the regulators should do something like fine them and give the money to charity...or better still stop them taking peoples money under false pretences, make them display a health warning on all their adverts....
so Lee any updates....it's been 8 days since your last post?No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0 -
Hi mamabuddah,
I'll get back to your daughter later today.
Kind regards,
Lee
