I'm personally not sure what the best answer is - I can see the positive in most of these suggestions.

BUT the point of my post is to say thanks to everyone who posts a daily mag post -wherever they post it and wherever it ends up.

And ... bringing over Blulu's Mexican wave of solidarity

Meh Meh Meh - I'm sorry but I just need to let it out 'I MISS THE DAILY MAGS THREAD!'I hate seeing the new daily comps scattered across the main board. The posters are wonderful people but I feel lost without the old thread! Meh Meh Meh Off to have a cry in the corner :(
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea
  • I have not really read much into this as I do not really bother with the magazine dailies but was pleased when they left the main board.

I do have one suggestion, however, when multiple magazines have the same prize could these be restricted to just a single thread with new posts for each magazine rather than having 3 or 4 threads each time?

Totally agree with you its ridiculous having all these daily comps on the main board when they were all together before! It made it so much easier to look for answers too!!

To be honest I think having a one off post on main board then having it linked to the specific thread for the daily entry if you wish, is an excellent idea, I think that's what used to happen before although there wasn't a specific thread for them, they were just linked in dailies, and I think the specific thread for those that used it was great and well kept. Those that do not have the time to visit the daily thread, at least get the opportunity to enter once via the main board as they come across it.
Yes it will not suit everybody as we all have different systems for comping, but I think everyone should have some opportunity for entering whether they have time, or are aware of the specific thread or not.
Personally am glad Toniq drew my attention to the bigger prizes, that at that time were hidden away in an area that I don't get time to visit at the moment.
Is not fair to say "oh but I comp this way and like them in X place, or I like this here or that there". This is a community for the benefit of all not just a select few, put them in both so everyone gets a chance xx
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

  • I have tried to stay off this thread for a couple of days as the frustration of this situation is immense. To try and clarify the situation, there are actually two separate issues here:

    1. Should the mag dailies be on the main board and, is so, in what form?

This is a difficult question and probably worth trying the current (new) system until after Christmas before having a proper debate.

    2. Links from the new mags thread going to the main boards thread instead of direct to the mags.

This is actually a really easy question and if you read back through this thread there is much support for restoring the direct links and not a single post in opposition to this. Only those
using the mags thread would be affected - the comps would continue to be posted to the main board.

Posted in the hope of a swift and sensible resolution as I (and many others) are slowed down further each day as more and more of the mags comps become linked to main board threads.

To those I am boring to death and doubtless winding up by going on about this, I sincerely apologise. I just cannot see the problem here.

The work-around is to put the direct links to each mag comp into a bookmark folder in your browsers bookmark/favorites folder, take a look at the 'speed upcomping' thread for tips

I've always done it this way, saves a huge amount of time.

The trouble is I comp on several different devices over the day. I realise that this is my problem, but I just can't see who the new system on the mag daily links is helping.
