    Day 4
Had a lie in then had a late sart, went to strip burger (restaurant.com) voucher, for brunch then waddled round the mall for a few hours trying to digest it all, walked upto circus circus adventure dome (myvegas freebie) with our wristbands could go on everything but didn't really enjoy to much there, did get a great photo on the roller coaster with me pulling my classical "roller coaster eyes closed face" headed back to hotel then and changed for the evening, had cocktails in Wynn by the lake, I though drink prices quite reasonable considering the location. Had dinner in sw steak, lovely restaurant and food fab, I remembered to ask chef to use less salt as I find all meals so far to salty, had a mains and a side each and couldn't eat any more. Thought was nice food and service was fab but certainly not good enough for the prices we paid.
Gambled (yay after 4 days) on jaws machine in Wynn, found waiting to long for drink service so left 10 dollars down

    Day 5
Woke up early after a very bad night sleep with some vivid dreams, I guess it was the meats sweats. Today was our day moving hotels, so monorail to ti to collect our car got a lovely crysler 200, through dollar. I know some people don't but I like to drive on holiday and enjoy the freedom, checked out of mgm and headed to peppermil for breakfast but was so busy didn't eat there, ended up having early lunch in top of the world, stratosphere, (using restaurnt.com voucher) had the 3 courses for 45 dollars and was amazing, best meal we have had so far food wise, and views were amazing. In all my time in vegas had never been here before and had been under the impression it is quite a dive but I didn't find that at all
Headed to the pawn star shop, queued for 10 mins to get in but worth it, place was bigger than people on tripadvisor made out and me and the guy in front while queuing laughed at the fact how redicilous it is we are queuing to get into a shop where we don't really want to buy anything. Chum lee turned up while we were there and signed my t shirt I bought for my sister.
Went downtown to get cheap souvenirs but the prices down there seemed to have shot up and in some places more expensive than the strip,
Checked into corner suite of vdara (travelzoo voucher and negotiated upgrade with jet before travel) amazing hotel, room is fab and inside the Bellagio casino in under 10 mins from my room view is stunning just wish could hear the fountain music as Well as see them
Will definitely sty here next time should we get this chance
Went to see love (myvegas) had fantastic seats and show was incredible. Probably best thing I've seen in theatre for years, really enjoyed, though I had downloaded the album in the airport on traveling the music was so much better when viewed with the show
Taxi to montecarlo to use the open bar VIP at the pub (my vegas) bar very limited to bud/coors/miller and generic gin vodka or rum. Had some food, nice salad but the pianists and the audience were not clicking right and so wasn't really a good night so left early
Certainly could have made more of the free bar if the mood was right
Now sitting in chair overlooking the fountAins writing trip report

    Part 3to follow ....

Thanks ratkarth, love reading people's Vegas reports! We watch Pawn Stars, and fancy going to visit the shop, but you have to queue?! I read somewhere that it's so popular that the guys can't even work there anymore because of all the tourists! I want a Chumlee tshirt too! :rotfl:

If you go during the day while filming is on you cant get in untill they have finished filming (unless you are lucky enough to be asked in to be an extra) so you may have to wait hours!.

we went at about 9pm, no queue and was talking to one of the guys behind counter for a while as it wasnt to busy, but of course no stars are there that time of day.

Even during the day they are not there as often as they used to be

We rocked up about 10am and went straight in, there wasn't a queue when we left.

It's worth following their website and individual twitter feeds to see when they're about. some of them are there more often than you'd think - they were filming the day before we went and Chumlee was there the day after, handing out drinks and snacks to all the taxi drivers as it was something daft like national taxi driver day!

    Virgin sale price via netflights;

Thanks again for posting this - we hadn't started thinking about our spring trip other than in vague terms that we would likely go in the spring but last night booked flights for April, taking advantage of Easter weekend in the middle...prices were pretty much the same on Virgin's site so went direct instead of via netflights...prices were a bit more than similar period in March which is what we were originally thinking, but saving 2 days holiday by bumping it to April seemed worth it.

    £510 direct from Gatwick!!!!!

Christ that is cheap. So tempted to book!

EDIT: even Saturday-Saturday flights are only £550 which would only mean 5 days off work.

I checked for our dates and it didn't seem to offer PE choosing Delta...but - economy, if I'm not mistaken...£748 Virgin, £615 Delta on netflights for the same flights.

    Me too previously.
However used netflights for our flights this year (March) which I booked last year. .
it's more the what if something goes wrong? for me...I want to know I talk to the airline, not to a 3rd party to go-between...that's just me...I don't usually book 3rd party on hotels either. :)

Thanks photome and secretmachines, that's interesting to know! Where abouts is the shop, is it easy to walk to off the strip?

Does anybody know what the best day is to travel on regards cost? Ive been playing around with different dates on various websites, and you can change the date by a couple of days or a week, and the price can change quite considerably! We're not set on any particular date like we have been previously, but were thinking probably the beginning of September.

We got back from 11 fabulous nights at Vdara yesterday afternoon - I think I'm in mourning! Just going to help DH take a machete to the shoulder height jungle that was once our lawn and then will post some sort of TR :)
