Hello everyone, I signed up for the Royal Mail surveys ages ago and heard nothing until recently when asked to do an Unaddressed Mail survey so this is the first thing I have done. Can someone please tell me if 'charity bags' count as unaddressed mail as I'm really not sure about them? Thanks,

I've never included them.

I do report any paper items which are bigger than business cards - so don't include minicab business cards either - whether delivered by RM or not. There is a column for reporting on deliveries on Sundays (so they must expect that deliveries are made then, as indeed they are) and those can never be by RM.

Well, I got my first week's proper posting pack - they actually included some proper training booklets this time, which actually include information on how to deal with magazines and periodicals (a common question on here). As well as the usual two books of stamps I also received a presentation pack of railway stamps and one of the leaflets they provided says they will give everyone one of these on both the first and last months of the full survey period (not during training). Only 5 items over 3 posting days and it looks like 4 items for next week so I'm reasonably happy so far :)

It's been a long time (decades) since RM have delivered on a Sunday to anywhere I have lived but I bow to your more intimate knowledge.

I do very occasionally get unaddressed mail on a Sunday. My posties husband does the leafleting for her when he gets time around his other commitments. So usually a Tuesday, but other days (inc Sun) as well. I always know it's them as they're the only ones who actually put post and leaflets through the letter box. Everyone else just slings it in the porch.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Do RM know about that? I thought the unaddressed mail was just an adjunct to normal duties, not something posties would have at their home to deliver whenever they wanted.

RM deliver unaddressed mail in my area on a Monday.
The only leaflets I get on Sundays are definitely not RM deliveries.

Sorry, I have another query about Unaddressed Mail surveys. Yesterday one of the unaddressed items I received in the post was an advertising leaflet for one of companys listed on my webpage for the specific items to look out for and register as received but it wasn't the exact same leaflet.

I'm not sure whether to click that I have received this leaflet or not because it doesn't match up (except for being the same company) with the picture shown. I emailed tns to ask what I should do but haven't heard anything back so thought I'd ask the experienced members on here.

I had exactly the same situation a few weeks ago. I did get a reply which was:

Thank you for your email.

Please hold onto this issue for two weeks, if it is not on your list by then, you can throw it away.

Thanks for answering my query. I still haven't had any reply to my e-mail but will follow the info you got when you asked the same question.
