Dear Mr Banton,
I acknowledge receipt of your recent letter.
We sincerely regret the delay of your flight FR639 from Berlin Schonefeld to East Midlands on the 23/12/2010, which was delayed due to adverse weather conditions.
Ryanair is committed to provide on time flights for all passengers and continues to be Europe's No.1 on-time airline.
Occasionally there are situations outside our control such as adverse weather that disrupt our flights. We sincerely regret that this flight was one of these rare delayed flights.
As this delay was outside Ryanair's control due to extraordinary circumstances, we regret to advise that no compensation is due under EU261.
However if you incurred any additional reasonable receipted expenses during the delay, then, please forward copies of these receipts so we may consider them.
We hope that this clarifies the situation for you and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Yours sincerely
For and on behalf of
RYANAIR LIMITED
Does weather conditions count???0 -
Yes it does, have you read the FAQs?0
-
Weather counts if it directly affected YOUR flight. If you were delayed becasue the prevuious flight of your aircraft was delayed AND your flight was not directly affected by weather then you can claim. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I'm guessing you typed 'ryanair' and 'malta' in the search engine of your email program? Would you have deleted all those emails? You could still put together all the evidence you have that you went to Malta at that time (presumably you didn't sleep on the beach and may have bought something on a credit card - the flight itself perhaps?). Finally Ryanair have a legal duty to the court to assist it with all the evidence at its disposal, including evidence which harms their defence. They have your passenger records and must produce them rather than require you to evidence being a passenger.
Yes! I am afraid I am one of those people who deletes all as soon as read them!I paid by credit card for the whole holiday through a last minute holiday website but can't remember which one and my credit card statements only allow me to go back to Oct last year.. guess a trip to the bank is in hand then... thanks for your reply

Can anyone tell me the address you write to in the first instance? If you go online and search complaints you are only given an email address and it goes on about the insurance and a reference to quote which didn't make any sense to me at all. Thanks0
