Well,I've been at work today and came home to the tennis.I might manage some decluttering before bedtime, but just wanted to say what a tonic it is to open the front door to a tidy and clutter free hallway.

Oh,and well done everyone.Keep it up!

Goodness, just realised I haven't updated from last week. Lots been happening and the house is still lovely and tidy (as long as no-one looks in the loft, garage or cupboards!). Had 2 viewers for the house in the last 3 days so decluttering has gone on behind the scenes! Finally managed the cupboard under the kitchen sink and after tidying and chucking have got it looking really neat and tidy.

    25. Remains of bottle of white vinegar: put into plastic sprayer for use in bathroom - bottle put in glass recycling
    26. Anti bacterial spray: 3 identical opened bottles poured into 1
    27. Dregs of window and glass cleaner poured into another bottle of same, bottle into recycling
    28. Bleach - 2 bottles poured into 1, 1 bottle in recycling
    29. Dried up toilet wipes
    30. Stain buster soap blocks x 2
    31. 2 metal plug strainer things - metal recycling
    32. Old nailbrush - bin
    33. 2 tins solid polish
    34. 6 old dusters - fabric recycling
    35. Manky rubber gloves - bin
    36. Mini travel bottle of yukky stuff - bin
    37. 2 Ecover cleaning solutions merged into 1, bottle in recycling
    38. 1 broken thread unpicker
    39. Empty glass peppercorn grinder - glass recycling
    40. 6 mini jelly moulds - daughter

I'm really loving the clean and tidy house look - almost looks like a show home but the novelty's beginning to wear off a bit! Still got all my clothes to tackle, also my fabric stash which is in the 3rd bedroom, loft, drawers under my side of the bed, and wardrobe in the spare bedroom! I'm a bit of a fabricaholic, but I must be realistic and realise that I will never ever use it all up by making quilts. I'm reluctant to let it go, but it will have to be decluttered. I have an acute case of SABLE: Stash Accumulated Beyond Life Expectancy!!!

Sounds like you're really making progress loopychris! It is really nice to have some bits of my house that seem distinctly less cluttered, but at present they're quite small bits.

    So, today...
    46) Birthday cards, assorted paper and card - recyling bin
    47) Used tins and plastic bottles - recycling bin
    48) Glass bottle - glass recycling bag

It doesn't sound a lot, but I've also done some pretty major cleaning in the kitchen and it's looking loads better.

Wow, everyone is doing fantastic. Glad we are starting to feel a little more upbeat, am still going slow and steady and as a result everything is looking better and I feel a lot more in control

So pleased to hear you are doing well and feeling stronger xx ps don't worry if you don't know what to say, if you feel the need just open the pm and type away, I can decipher if necessary :)

Small bits turn into large bits ;)

Well there has been some decluttering done here:

    29. Black bin of all sorts of carp collected by the teens - in the bin
    30. Broken wine glass (dishwasher loading error) - in the bin
    31. Plastic containers without lids / plastic lids without containers - in the bin
    32. Large plastic funnel/filter type thing - I have no idea what it is - in the bin

Does it count decluttering a tear watching Andy Murray give his speech after losing to Federer

    Keep up the good work!!

    Hello again lovelies!

Right, did I ever get onto the whole tidying and decluttering thing!

    Thursday:

10-12 (estimating here I didn't count them) big cardboard boxes broken down and taken to recycling. Cardboard mountain no longer exists!!!
Various odds and ends found, not required - binned (I know recycling is better, but I never seem to get around to actually doing that, so I've just binned some stuff.
Space cleared out completely from behind the washing machine area, dust removed, and area cleaned (we now know where the mice came in when we had them before! There are some very small holes in the wall there, and they'd left some evidence - which has been cleaned thoroughly!
I also did my workout, and got some groceries.
Located 'missing' (was under the sofa) tape, and set up airco machine again to cool the place down! Phew!

    Friday -

Old washing machine taken away! YAY! New washing machine brought in and installed! Double YAY!
More stuff decluttered from downstairs (the small entrance area by the door), in order to make a clean pathway for the delivery guys.
Our airco leaked, onto the cardboard boxes beneath it, and they collapsed in the middle of the night. Scared the beejesus out of us, but no real harm done!
This spurred us on to clear out that space and find something sturdier for the airco to rest on - few things in washing pile, I threw some odds and sods out. OH came home and went through boxes, and threw out loads of smaller boxes mainly, and other bits. Another bin bag full!
Airco set up on old coffee table, and OH set up a water drainage thing too, so it shouldn't leak anymore. Table was also given a thorough dust & clean before the airco was put on it.
Pile of clean clothes put away. Start on catching up on washing begun.

    Saturday -

Decided to tackle the 4, 2 feet tall, piles of paperwork in the bedroom that I've been avoiding. I am pleased to say that 1/3 of it is now in the shredding pile, 1/3 in the bin and the rest has been filed neatly into their respective folders. I have also separated the folders into one for English stuff and one for Dutch stuff. That mammoth task has now been tackled. Took almost all day, but is now done!
This cleared some space in the cupboard for other things.
Dust etc hoovered up. Floor just needs a wash now.
OH also threw out some more bits he doesn't need (though I am having to convince him that VHS tapes will not be valuable in the future! lol).
Clean clothes from day before were put away.
    Catch up on washing continued.

    Sunday -

    Workout done.
Clean clothes from day before put away.
Catch up on washing completed! :D
    Rested! lol

I think that's everything. I've probably forgotten stuff, but I am so pleased with how much we managed to achieve! There'll be about 4 bags, if not more, going out with the rubbish this week! WAHOOO!!!

I don't know the total number of items, but it's a lot!!! XD

Haha! Thanks! That's how I felt yesterday! lol I also managed to make meals from scratch, wash up dishes and clean down the kitchen worktop a few times.

Oh yeah, I cleaned the toilet, bathroom sink & mirror too. And I cut OH's hair yesterday.

I don't know what got into me. But Aunt Flo arrived on Saturday morning, so I wonder if my nesting instinct has something to do with it?

Tonight, after my workout, I am going to pull out the odds and sods of paperwork that are lurking on the coffee table shelf and sort them out too. Maybe tomorrow night, I will start with the shredding. The paperwork is very important right now, thanks to our impending move - we don't know exactly when, it might not be until April next year, or it could be next month! So everything needs to be sorted!
