  • Thanks all, much appreciated..... yup, .losing Ben is still very fresh so it's been a really difficult day.

Pleased to say she's home :j

When they rechecked her temp on admission it was up to 106.1 deg  but she's had treatment and they've been taking it regularly all afternoon and pleased to say it was down to 102 deg when I went to collect her.

It's still a bit on the high side but a huge improvement :) - she's to go back in the morning to check it's not gone up again and will prob have some antibiotics etc for a few days.

She's a lot brighter than earlier on but still subdued compared to her normal bouncy self. Her nose is lovely & wet & cold which is a good sign.

She's just had a tiny wee bit of chicken & rice (will have a tiny bit more before bedtime) and has just laid down at my feet so is still obviously very tired.

Now ..... I'd planned a lovely roast chicken for dinner (not had lunch yet!) - but think it'll be around 10 that I'll get it at the rate I'm going!
