This weeks mini challenge: sailor shower
This is a real challenge that'll save heating and water. You've got a total of 2 minutes water running time. In that time you have to have a full shower/wash, you're allowed to turn the water on and off as many times as you like but not allowed any longer than two minutes total :)

Hey everyone, sorry for not being around but I have had food poisoning. Pretty bad food poisoning too, not slept and have just managed to eat a bowl of dry rice today taking grand total of calories to about 200, posh spice eat your heart out! Obviously have not been in work and won't be going in tomorrow. Just wanted to say a quick hello before I try and catch up on some sleep.

Thanks mumof3plusoh, I officially hate chicken! The only thing I am really grateful for is that my grandma had bought it but decided to have fish and chips instead so gave the cooked chicken to me. It doesn't bear thinking about what my grandma would have been like with food poisoning. xxx

Jemma, hope you feel better soon.

Little one has been on the toast diet all weekend.

Kerri have you thought about claiming compensation for being cut off? More money for the debt busting

Get better soon Jemma, white rice is the right way to go, its the treatment they used for Delhi Belly when I was hiking in Nepal. It ain't pretty, but it helps to get it sorted.

I'll refrain from any further obvious advice like drinking water etc, but on the plus side at least your food costs have been minimal today!

It's not much of a silver lining, but best I've got to offer.

Get better soon Jemma :( Food poisoning is the worst, i'll never forget the chicken burgers I cooked for DH and I when we were young, poor and struggling _pale_.

Kerri! There is no way I can shower in 2 minutes! I havent had a shower alone in 10 years (which co-incidentally is how long ive had kids ;)) plus I have to sit on the floor to shower which does not make it easy to shower quickly :D.

Been to Bingo tonight with me mum, won absolutely nowt (got down to 1 number though so got all excited) but enjoyed being out and seeing people, plus theres a Lidl next door so we have decided next month to go early, get our books then go to Lidl to grab the bargains before the games begin :T:T

    Good night all xxx

When my dad retired three years ago I took a year's holiday in one go to go hiking and climbing for a month. We went to a rural undeveloped area about 100 miles or so away from Everest, and were climbing around the eighth largest mountain in the world.

The reason your story brought it to mind is that one of the guys on the trip got food poisoning on the second and third days, and was on porridge with nothing else for breakfast and rice for lunch and dinner. Fortunately didn't get anything myself, although my dad did get some altitude sickness up over 4,000m.

A return trip is one of the main reasons that I want to get debt free, although there are other priorities in life too.
