I've made the sun-dried tomato and parmesan one. It was ok but I messed it up a bit.
I didn't notice that you only put in half the mixture for a 1lb tin so put the full lot of mix in with half the water. I then realised my muck up, so had to try split it between the two 1lb tins when it was half mixed. Dozy mare I am!
Might try Lynsey's suggestion of making the dough in the breadmaker and finishing off in the oven to get it less spongy. I've yet to use the multi-seed, ciabatta, and cheese and onion which I have stashed. Will see if they have any in Tesco when I pop in.There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
VfM will search out my recipe..
Lyra.. chick peas are averagely 13g/100g carbs which is medium carb not low carb but they are nutritious. Hummus is around 6.7g/100g , 2 tbsps would be around 4.6g but often hummus can be much higher. Falafel per 60g falafel is around 14.9g, again medium carb and again some can be higher. I'd cut down on sugary things and carry on with the falafel and hummus as they are both yummy and healthy.
I've decided to make low carb hummus my next supermarket hunt Lyra
Lip_Stick.. what I'd do would be peel the potato and shred it, finely chop the prawns and spring onions, mix together and make burgers, chill then egg and breadcrumb and shallow fry to serve with salad and cream/cottage cheese.0 -

I had an attack of the guilts wondering how a company would sustain that amount of money off their product. Now I know it was for charity I'm certainly feeling guilty! :eek:There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. Just been into town to buy the bed linen I'd seen. Not so sure it'll go now as it looks a bit dark. Anyway will get my mum's opinion tomorrow. Went into Iceland to buy peas and sweetcorn, then to Tesco and ended up buying some whoopsied meatballs for my tea.
Meant to get some Wright's breadmix but forgot, good thing I did!Lip_Stick.. what I'd do would be peel the potato and shred it, finely chop the prawns and spring onions, mix together and make burgers, chill then egg and breadcrumb and shallow fry to serve with salad and cream/cottage cheese.
Unfortunately I don't have egg, salad, or anything else to serve it with lol. Think I might make that tomorrow as off to morries so will stock up then. Reckon it'd be ok if I put in some white crab meat as well from a tin? There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. Tinned crabmeat might be a bit wet Lip_Stick.. you could drain then squeeze with hands and see but then if quite dry might taste a bit eww ??
katskorner that sounds really yummilyfantastic altho I can't eat potatoes - we top shepherd's or cottage pie with mashed swede. Swede makes great chips too0 -
