Found the cheapest way (I think) to transfer funds abroad - i.e. to pay the deposit on our Aussie rental for August. Think its via Post Office International Transfers (no fees unlike RBS ~ £30!!!). However registering for it is proving to be something of Million Pound Drop Question 8 standard .

On the phone this morning, on hold for ages. They are apparently phoning me back - there goes my 8 hours beauty sleep again!!!:wall:

Right people, an up to date breakdown on my life to date :D.

    - Booked and paid for Alan's 17th Edition (most recent wiring regs update in preparation for Oz)
    - Managed to get a courier to move furniture from London to Glasgow for £100 (cheapest by far!) in preparation for moving out 5th April

Trying very hard to pay the deposit for the Oz house rental, but wrestling with the Post Office money transfer people - they didn't call me back d!ckheads . Likelihood is I will need to wait up until 9am tomorrow morning and phone them again!!!

Needless to say everyone else and their Mother DID call me during my peaceful slumber - 4 calls from the crazy lady at the Beeb, some from courier re: moving the furniture. Haven't really had more than 4 hours in total so I am shattered. Just as well the ward is quiet so far:o.

Booked Alan and Cole's flights from Glasgow to Heathrow for flying out to Oz on 8th April. Used some of my miles and managed to bag both flights for just £77 hard cash. On the plus side, they are flying us back into Glasgow on the way back :D.

Decided to try Oz Forex - bank were going to charge me £711 Oz Forex £680 for $1000 AUD. Will try to persevere to see what Post Office have to offer before making the transfer. Have emailed the guy to explain the delay is due to my surprising technophobia, considering life online makes up the majority of my nightshifts:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

On the plus side, just cleared my inbox of surveys and actually qualified for a Valued Opinions one! Must be the first this year;).

    £1.50 kerching.

Have made the following F&Fs on our remaining debts:

£1037 Littlewoods - offered £406 (sounded like I had actually worked it out).

    £771.50 HBOS overdraft - offered £300 (they wanted £368).

Just the HBOS overdraft at £1352 to go then thats us in the clear! :D

The HBOS credit card will carry on in dispute for a while longer I think. Haven't heard an utterance from Barclaycard since their rottweilers declared the paperwork was no longer available and therefore they are closing the case. It has disappeared from my credit file also:j.

Was due to be paid for 2 bank nightshifts today but nothing so far. Well looks like its next week for that then...........the new (temporary thank God) Labour Ward Manager is well tardy with putting the bank timesheets in. Always seems to miss the Thursday lunchtime deadline hmmmm :(.
