Hi all hope this is the right place to post my question

IM new to comping and enjoying it but in need of alittle advice. I have been slowly working my way through the competitions in the main part, but have now noticed the regular comps which i see there are so many.but should i keep going through the ones on the main site to catch up or just do regular comps or both IM abit lost as to the best plan :o
I'd suggest just doing what you are comfortable with. When we had had "WOW" or "Likeability" I would have suggested doing the high value ones first but that option no longer exists.
Just click away & do what feels ok for you.

You'll struggle to get through everything, so perhaps have a little dabble in both sections. Good luck.
  • Hi Weeowens,
I am lost in this site tonight. Finding it difficult to find the correct place to post messages! I sent a reply to you few minutes ago as I can't see it I will do it again. I tried to enter Chats Crosswords online the last 2 nights but it wouldn't work. It ends on the 11th November. Succeeded putting entries online with Take A Puzzle, Take A Break Autumn 2.

  • Hi fire**fly,
I tried to register with Chats Crosswords (I couldn't remember if I had registered before, if I did have forgot password) so registered but every time I went to hit submit or enter the answers to Issue 182 it wouldn't work. There was a tick beside the submit button but nothing happened when I pressed it.

i go through the daily thread and then come to main and sort by end date and get through those comps im interested in that end tomorrow. if im still inclined to enter more i skim through looking for any newly posted today comps that might end tomorrow that ill have missed earlier in the day,
then ill search for guessedenddate and enter those in case they end before the end date that was used. if im still not sick of it ill then either start on the next day by end date, or start at the newest posted and work through til ive had enough.one day a week (i aim for tuesday but this week it was today) i run through the threads in the weekly and once only stickies too :)

its rare i get past end tomorrow though, with all the dailies and then anything between 10-30 pages on a normal end date day (last days of the month can have double that) ive usually had enough :rotfl: at the very least i do dailies most days, even if nothing else.

its impossible to enter everything, and thats the way that suits me. lots of people ignore the regulars board and stickies and only enter whats on main and then only once even if it allows more entries. that suits them :)

just do what works for you.
  • Hi fire**fly,
Many thanks realised what I had done wrong. I was already registered in October and had put in the wrong username and password!! Have found the correct details and submitted the answers on Chat Crosswords. Wish me luck.
    Many thanks for your help.

    Hi,Mrsd

A passcard is the website details combined with its matching password in the Roboform program. In the Roboform menu just click "Tools" - "Edit Passcards".This brings a menu up whereby old sites/passwords can be deleted or edited.

  • I got one of these today and clicked on the extended header.
The emails come from a company called NetFlip.co.uk. A search on Google reveals the first result that says:
    netflip.co.uk/
Submission Technology is a leader in online customer acquisition and lead generation.

As with all SPAM emails don't click on the unsubscribe button as this will only confirm that yours is a valid email address.

This site shows linked sites to Netflip so check that you've not used the ones listed for comping:
    http://urlspy.co.uk/www.netflip.co.uk

This site gives a bit of information and a sly way of getting around the unsubscribe. http://andymerrett.co.uk/blog/2011/0...rketing-lists/

I'm just going to add them to my blacklist. (right click on the inbox msg and select Blacklist)
Thanks to those that post the comps!!
