My OH and boys were not happy on Saturday due to the depressing sport - both the rugby and our home team of Somerset losing in their games!

Hope your interview with Paul Nixon went well but isn't he one of the ones who made us lose the T20?

Yes he was and he teased me a little over it too. But he's a really nice guy, fun to interview and I was talking to him about his support of Carlisle United who we play on Saturday. I'll make an exception with him....:D

Rest of the day wasn't too bad. Had lunch then went down to Dorset to see my older two and got back about an hour ago or so.

Also weighed in today and lost another pound so signature has been updated. am going to try extra hard for next three weeks as if I lose six more pounds, that will be two stone lost in three months!!

Can't believe that it is three days since I did an update! Where has this week gone?

Tuesday - stayed at home for most of the day then went to the school to do a coaching session with the boys. My two came home with me afterwards and we went to watch my team (who I work for) play just three miles from home, just about as close as they'll get, in a county cup tie. They stayed overnight.

Took them to school on Wednesday morning then worked on the programme and the website all day bar a brief soujourn to Asda. Picked them up again after school had tea then went geocaching for a couple of hours till it got dark, walking about three miles again. Had a 100% record too, ten out of ten.

Today was an awful day at work. Courier DX run went well, put £14 of fuel in the car, spent £3.50 on lunch and had a meeting that went nowhere. Got into my office and had a blazing row with my boss - he is so out of order that I so very nearly quit. Nowadays it takes so much to make me angry but today he really upset me with some of his comments. Bought some chips on the way home to cheer myself up, but it didn't work.

Tomorrow is another day, DX in the morning followed by a shopping trip to Asda then a relaxing day hopefully and no conversations with my boss.

Got up for DX this morning and as per usual, managed to get a weekly shop done before getting home at 8.15am. Big shop this week, little change from £40...

Rest of day spent working on website, fielding phone calls from my increasingly annoying manager (not the football manager, my line manager) and sorting out the boys football team for Sunday.

Picked boys up from school, tea then out for geocaching for about an hour and a half. Getting dark too quickly now to get more done really... went out to do nine and only got six done!!

My updates on this blog are getting shockingly erratic, another three days without one! :o

Saturday was football training in the morning; a good session which all the kids seemed to enjoy a lot. In the afternoon, went down to watch the men's team lose 3-0 playing the whole of the second half with ten men... . As if things couldn't get any worse, they did, when my hopelessly incompetent media manager deleted my match report without saving it resulting in a blazing row and me going home before I put the report back up!

Sunday saw the boys' team suffer a 9-4 defeat in a disappointing match that had seen them three up inside fifteen minutes. A bad show considering they had played so well last weekend to get a 5-5 draw.

Today have just got back from shopping (£15.44 in Asda) and having a hair cut which cost a tenner. Rest of the day will be busy doing website stuff until later on. Have a couple of interviews to sort out this week as going away to Devon Cliffs for three days at the weekend with the twins.

Not a bad day so far, off to coach at the school in half an hour or so then rest of the day working on the programme and the website.

Haven't really done that much since last update - one positive is that I've applied for another job which I might be able to fit in with my schedule. It's an admin assistant's job for four hours a day, five days a week and, having chatted with my boss, he's happy as long as it doesn't affect the football job, which it shouldn't.

I've applied for it and enclosed my CV so here's hoping, things may be looking up.

That said, I almost forgot to update the weight loss. Probably because there wasn't one, in fact I put a pound on!! Signature amended too.

Ended up having a later night than planned last night as ex-wife and daughter came up for a concert last night so met here and I drove them into town, picking them up later. Meant putting £20 of diesel in too.

Up at 6am for the DX this morning then back via Asda shopping (£12) where rest of the morning was spent working on website and programme. Interviewed the grandson of our legendary, best ever manager which was nice.

Picked the boys up from school, gave them tea then off to do a brief spell of five geocaches, getting them all tonight for a 100% return.

Tomorrow I'm taking the school team for a friendly match against the under-10 / under-11 match and the rest of the day will hopefully be a relaxing one. Should start getting ready for our break away in Devon this weekend.

Off for an early night tonight as away on holiday for the weekend leaving after school tomorrow evening. Oh joy, the M5 won't be too busy.....:o

Today wasn't a bad day. Didn't go down to football club today as was taking the school B team in a friendly (lost heavily but it's all experience). Also did the shop today so that after DX tomorrow morning, I can stay home and pack for the weekend. Shopping was £18.49 in Asda.

Looking forward to a few days off now; walking along the beach, going swimming, playing golf and generally chilling out. May even fit in some geocaching while we're down there!

Back from holiday earlier and have been catching up with work, websites, forums, message boards and paperwork.

Had a great time at Devon Cliffs. Caravan was a little disappointing to be honest, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the last let. Filled in the "Are you happy?" questionnaire before I left and have since received an email saying they're looking into it.

As for the holiday? Weather was great until 9pm last night when it started raining. It had been breezy all weekend but the wind definitely got stronger yesterday afternoon. We went for a clifftop walk and that was a trial in itself.

Obviously spent a while (and a fortune) in Funworks, went swimming once, played golf once and even squeezed in some geocaches while we were there. DS's mum forgot to pack their trainers so I had to buy new ones while I was down there but one pair felt uncomfortable.... Tesco wouldn't take them back as I had ripped the price labels from them. Ended up buying a third pair from Shoe Zone, whole episode draining me of £25.

On the way home today, twins' sister (from another man) rang me saying their mum had been arrested after yet another drinking episode following another attempted reconciliation with her ex. Older readers of this diary will remember the hassle I've had in recent months and years.. still no end in sight. Suggested I kept hold of the boys for a few days until things had calmed down so went food shopping, arranged work cover etc only to get a phone call at 4pm suggesting I bring the boys back after all....I despair.

So going to enjoy a lie-in tomorrow morning in a big non-caravan bed hopefully. The team play tomorrow evening so might take the twins down a little earlier and introduce them to a good friend I've known for 25 years. She married my best friend and we've kept in touch ever since, even though my friend died in 2001. She's getting on now, more than 85 I would guess, so seems like a good time to let her meet the twins. Other than that, a day based at home seems to be the idea.

Still not heard about the job which is worrying as I thought I had a shout with it.

One other bit of good news. Lost four pounds this week - I've always thought I was unique and now I know it. Go on holiday and blooming lose weight!!!

Just a brief update as getting tired now.

Nothing much has happened these past two days. Went to football last night which ended in a 2-2 draw; picked the boys up at 4pm and dropped them back at 6pm tonight... worked out I've seen them for twelve days out of the past thirteen..:D

Today worked on the website and the programme while boys were here. Not much else to report other than I forgot to mention that I got my new Focus estate last week and it's yummy. Only a Y reg and cost me £300 plus my old car.

    Longer blog tomorrow I hope.

Going to have another early one tonight; the weekend away is catching up with me I think. Did the morning DX run and returned home from where I haven't ventured again all day. Main job today was updating my stats book which always takes an age but once done, it should be okay for a while with minimal updating.

Tomorrow is DX again plus another weekend has crept up on us again. Boys coming round at 2pm and the enxt two days are the usual mix of football training and Yeovil v Huddersfield on Saturday followed by the boys' match on Sunday morning.

Still no word from the job so I'll be searching for something similar tomorrow morning.
