Happy September everyone

Have to do a few bits and pieces today, so I'll post the challenge later. Cornish hasn't been around for a few days so do I have any volunteers for ideas please?
Michelle - I'll get back to you on the 100 reviews before Christmas - It may be out of my depth. I've done about 28/29 and I'm beginning to struggle again.
Legend did you get a touchpad this morning? DD was still asleep, so I had a lie in and missed it by minutes

Morning
Well done to everyone on their totals. 0 -
Morning.
Gorgeous day here. I've been up the park with my monkeys. I did have plans to go with one of the neighbours but she stood me up. We still went though and had a lot of fun. I did stop via the shop on the way back and got them a lolly each as they were good boys.
Now to get down to some stuff, Peg more washing on the line, do some more surveys if they are there and get the washing machine on again. It's supposed to be nice over the weekend to, so I want to make sure to have some fun.
Hope I haven't scared cornish off saying she should come up with the next challenge.
I can't think of anything else to suggest challenge wise myself. I just started a new challenge thread off with the people on the mortgage free board to take us to christmas so I have been focussing on that really. Perhaps a focus on a particular review site again?
I'm hoping I get a few different ones to pay out this month. I'm at £49 on YG, £42.50 on NVL, £18.92 on SNW though had hardly any there over the past few months.
Elysia 100 reviews was just my personal challenge hon. I worked out there are 114 days to the 23rd of December including today, and it just seemed a fairly nice number as I normally aim for one per day anyway. It's just what we did over the past 6 weeks or so, but over a longer time so a bigger number. I've started writing a list of things to review, and got to about 10.
It will come to me though. 0 -
Only 114 days till the 23rd dec ahhh!
Michelle I am sure you will manage the 100 reviews by then you are really good at reviewing.
Decided to set myself a few personal challenges but would like you lot to keep me to it. Here goes:- To write 15 new reviews. (at least 5 of which are travel for the promotion on chow)
- 2 new topics on T and push for a redeem there this month
- Make 2 redeems on viva this month (only ever manage 1 as I don't check often enough)
- Start listing some of the boys old clothes and toys on ebay
Hope everyone has a good month.GC 2015: Aug £272.21 /£300 Sept £112.41 /£300

Great minds think alike Claire.
I have gone through all my old DY reviews and I have found 5 on there that can be copied across for the promotion.
I think my new policy on chow is going to be try and only stick on fairly inconsequential reviews on there such as books and films, as I think in the next couple of months we might see a toy promotion before christmas. Might as well save them up and get more for them later.
I will also rack my brains for some other day out type places I can review. I know there is a museum we were going to go to anyway this month as we have a free admission to it, and also I am not sure if places like soft play might count? I might have a try as there are a few of those near here I could do ridiculously easy.
Surveys seem to have picked up a bit today. I don't know if that is just me being more forceful. I had 2 x 80p on SNW, an Ipsos 150 pt one, and there are a couple for DH later, £1 on viva, and 30 on GTM. I've not even looked at onepoll or looney yet.0 -

Evening all, been a great day today. Elysia my cashback has finally become payable on ilovecashback, that as seriously boosted my totals for this month already

Hubby also managed to fix his netbook too, goodness knows how but it is back up and running, he seems pleased.
And I managed to sort out a Christmas present for hubby which is a bit of a biggy at such a reasonable price so super pleased.
I wonder if a mini chllenge would be instead of reviewing or cncentrating on a specific site it could be something thinking outside of the box, like moving down a brand on certain grocery items (ie if you buy coco pops, buy tesco own brand, if you buy tesco own brand then switch to the value/budget range). Alot of grocery items are made in the same factory but use different packaging so moving down a brand would not compromise taste etc. There is a thread on one of the boards about it, maybe I should have a look tomorrow. It would be a good way to make a few quid and perhaps change our auto pilot shopping habits, especially as food has become more expensive.
I best head off to bed, lets make September a fabulous month :TComping wishlist for 2017
1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuffThe more you put into life, the more you get out0 -
This challenge is a bit of a mixed bag – there’s something here for oldies and newbies alike.
Money Saving
1. Winter is most definitely on its way – check your electric/gas supplier and what tariff you are on, and if you haven’t switched for a while – compare and switch to the best deal, and get a fixed deal if you can, before the prices hike up for winter. Don’t forget to go through Quidco or TCB to make the highest savings.
2. It’s starting to get colder – but don’t just bung the washing in the tumble drier, make sure you use your washing line for as long as you can.
3. As suggested by Savvy – Down grade one level in your weekly/monthly shopping and make savings where you can. If you usually have finest, switching to value isn’t going to work, but it you have a brand, try T’s own, or if you usually have T’s own, try value. You may find you like something J
Money making
1. Ebay - Have a sort out, as now is the time to be starting to list winter clothes and toys. If you aim for them to finish around the end on the month (payday) you’ll see better returns. You can get sorting and photographing now though, but if you're really inspired its free listing again this weekend.
2. Set yourself a challenge – I know this worked with most of us last month – we set ourselves challenges, and in the main, we all completed them. Set yourself a challenge – write it down, stick it to the fridge/computer, somewhere visible, and do it!!! Suggestions include – write an opinion on T everyday this month, complete every survey going, and not fishing for the good ones, four reviews a week.
3. Go out looking for money making opportunities and not wait for them to come to you.
4. Do you have a talent you could use? There are lots of new sites springing up where you do small jobs for £5. On most of them, the site takes £1 as commission but you can still earn £4 for not a lot. – There are smobs.co.uk (short for small jobs), fivesquid.co.uk (this is the best UK one), and fiverr.com (US). They all work on the same premise – you do a small job and you earn £5 (or $5). Offer to proof read kids homework, write a personalised poem, make a card, hem up trousers, sew in kids name labels for their uniforms, compile professional looking CV’s for people, design a logo, edit something for Youtube – the list is endless. Have a think and see what you can come up with.
As ever, use this like a pick and mix – sort out what you can easily achieve. We want you to stick at it, and not give in after a week. Do what you can, but remember Christmas is around the corner now, and we really need to push this month and next, so we have lots of money to treat our families with, and make Christmas magical. Sorry - I didn't post this yesterday - I had a phonecall off a friend, did I want to take DD to the soft play centre. It's not like the Wacky warehouse, where you get an hour and you're out - you can stay in this one all day. I got out at 6.30 and then by the time I'd dropped them off, got home, and cooked tea, I'd got a banging headache from all the kids screaming, and I went straight to bed.
Michelle - I'll do the challenge with you, but there's no way I can do 100, I'll work mine out as three a week, and if I do more it'll be a bonus - but definitely three a week
I keep saying it - but I also challenge myself to set uo the folksy shop this month - something always gets in the way, and I still haven't done it.
but I WILL
