Derbyshire BS NetSaver (issue 1)

Options
Hi,

I was wondering if Derbyshire BS NetSaver (issue 1) provides a fast payment transfer to the nominated account or not.

Many Thanks,
Houman

  • They don't show FPs an an option, nor do they discount it either. "electronic transfer, including"
"Pay money in: Opening investment must be by cheque. Further payments by electronic transfer, including Standing Order (form available here), BACS or CHAPS."
"Take money out: By electronic transfer to a nominated bank account. Minimum withdrawal amount £10. Maximum amount is £100,000 per day (1 withdrawal per day). BACS payments will take 3 working days from the date of notification if received before 3.30pm."

nope, BACS or pay extra (a lot) for CHAPS, only 1 nominated account allowed for all transfers out. I sent a test £1 from my bank by FP before sending the full amount and it did not show up same day going in.
  • As per previous discussions on this subject.....it is very rare for a savings accounts to offer FP out. The only ones I know are NatWest with something like a £10K limit per day and possibly Santander but only for transfers of up to a few £100 at max
More and more are now accepting FP in, though the update to the online balances is usually done overnight and is not instantaneous as with the mainstream banks

Transfer test £1 sent Saturday by FP shows up cleared on Tuesday. Maybe if you send on a weekday it will show up next day?

I sent £200 by FP yesterday and it is showing today (before my original £1 by cheque is even showing!).

However, the recipient I created to send it to is not showing on my list of payment recipients on my Halifax internet banking. I have my account number as a reference from logging on to the Derbyshire, but can anyone remind me of the Account Number and Sort Code to send it to so I can send some more money? I've just moved £5k into my current account to send it today and I left the letter at home with the payment details on...

    Thanks.

I assume you're talking about a payment in to the Derbyshire account rather than out? (since the minimum amount out is £10).

My test transfer from Tesco, has appeared at the Derbyshire (as FP BANK CREDIT) dated the same day as the day I sent it, so it looks as though FP in works OK.

yes, I always do a test for a newly setup transfer before sending a large amount. Makes sure the digits are correct and avoids the possibe horror stories of trying to get thousands back from some random strangers account.
