    Hi folks,

This coming Saturday, January 15th, we are planning on taking down the Forum for a time to install some new code. This is part of ongoing work and you won't really notice much difference initially.

The work will start mid-morning and while we anticipate being down approximately 8 hours. I'll provide more specific details here later in the week.

I hope that the new code isn't more spyware like Skimlinks, Google Analytics or Chartbeat  as i'm getting fed up of having to filter out all of the garbage on mse :rotfl:

  • Tulip - Lovely prize, well done :T

I have been following the discussions re. regular comps, but haven't commented thus far, as I don't think I'm really qualified because I don't contribute that much to the forum. Having said that, I do spend an awful lot of time here, albeit in a lurking capacity :o.

Personally, I would prefer if everything is posted on the main board with just the lists of daily, monthly comps maintained on the regs or as stickies. But I understand that everyone enters comps differently and what works for one, doesn't for another. It so difficult to please everyone, but a poll would be the obvious solution to get the general concensus.

really feel very strongly that the debate needs to be moved to the main board so that all MSE comp users can voice there opinions and comment on the way forward for the regulars board which just isn't happening at the present time :(

both comp boards are provided for everyone to use but it appears that the regs board is a place where only the views of a vociferous select minority are being listened to and they are also able to influence Glad to make changes without the consent of the vast majority of comp users on the main board this needs to change

but it will not change until the debate reaches a wider audience :(

the debate will not reach a wider audience if the vast majority of users don't voice there opinions and make there voice heard

PM your BG's post in comps discuss make your voice heard whenever and wherever you can so that changes can be made that enhance the comping experience for the vast majority of comp users not just a select few on the Regulars board

    Hi everyone,

Well done Katie - they are brilliant! Hope they are comfortable too. I need a new pair myself as I do so much walking but don't expect I'll find such nice ones.

Well done to you too korky - I'll look into IWIW to see what you have won.
