Don't usually post in here, but I agree with you Amilucky. Whatever is decided there needs to be a decision & that needs to be communicated to Comps forum users. I hadn't even realised what was going on for quite a while until I realised I was seeing less comps & wondered why (I'm not terribly quick on the uptake)

Time for a poll.

Amilucky, i've said loads on the thread & think it's about time a lot of the others started to say something if they want to keep the comps board, help it to run to the best for us all here
great idea of yours to put it on other threads as a lot of peeps don't read in comps disc, let's hope it helps sort things out

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if it is possible to get a competition link posted which is related to my wife's wedding blog or not, element of self interest being a problem I know. It is just a give away competition that she is hosting for some Folksy designers with 20 different prizes available. I have not posted a link or blog name here as I don't wish to contravene the forum rules, but as I enter so many competitions wondered how to post this.

Does that make sense?

We where promised a debate and a discussion and a poll before any further changes where made to the Regulars board and all that we have got so father is a rather damp squib with the BG who has instigated change turning a blind eye and not making comment to changes being made to the Regulars board

while I appreciate the efforts that pp and bhg are making to there sticky sections of the board it is akin to a heart surgeon using sticky plaster and tape when major surgery is needed

as I have said previously I appreciate pp and bhg's endeavours but it doesn't make the two boards more interactive and is no more than ornate window dressing in a shop that is losing it's potential customers

major changes still need to be made to make the two boards more interactive

I myself am still of the opinion that the Regulars board has lost it's usefulness and that the regulars board should be amalgamated into the main board with sub-sections for the Regular comps or pp and bhgs daily,s weekly and monthly's stickies being moved over lock stock and barrel and seamlessly integrated into the mainstream board

Glad said that in the New Year if people still wanted a poll on how to move the regulars board forward then it would go ahead

now is the time to make your voice heard, I propose that we have a poll and everyone who agrees should now say aye!

Thanks - I was in the middle of reading it when it was moved, so didn't get the opportunity to reply. Thanks for posting in the main board, as I had no idea there was anything going on until I saw your post as I normally don't venture out of the main board.

Just wanted to add my support that I agree with a poll to see the best way forward for everyone.

Don't know where to post this - just wondered if any compers applied for Deal or No Deal in the recent application round (closed last week)? Can people start posting if/when they hear back so I can get an idea that mine hasn't been chosen.

Hi folks,

This coming Saturday, January 15th, we are planning on taking down the Forum for a time to install some new code. This is part of ongoing work and you won't really notice much difference initially.

The work will start mid-morning and while we anticipate being down approximately 8 hours. :eek: I'll provide more specific details here later in the week.

To be quite honest Korky I'm surprised that it lasted as long as it did!

oh well I did try!!

time to carry on comping have started entering comps again by the way

wife is always sleeping during the day so we are not getting to watch many movies and I don't like day time TV so have decided to start comping in earnest again during the day and watch movies later on in the afternoon or early evening

I now only need to catch up on 800 posts now to be up to date!

I am now doing all of the comps on the main board the next day and slowly chipping away at the excess
when I first started I had nearly 4,500 comps to catch up on :eek:
wife has had her CT scan and ECG and we will get to know the results late next month
