For anyone still looking for the 2" scallop punch and 1.5" circle punch - I have just ordered mine from Grafton Crafts and within an hour they had been dispatched. Can't believe how quickly they processed my order. I would highly recommend to anyone. Been looking for the punches for a while and couldn't find anywhere.

I actually like the thread you used, makes it look rustic. But embroidery thread is also a good idea as you could experiment with different number of strands.
I was going to make a trio of these for DS, GF, DGS but how on earth will I fit "Charlotte" on it lol. I have been meaning to get a letter stamping kit so maybe that would be easier for me!
thank you
I was going to do them for more people but Izzy is the only one with a short name :rotfl: I would never fit her full name (Isabella) onto it
I'm going to do some more shapes (hearts/tree's etc) so I can experiment with the different threads before I do more men.
Back to the christmas cards for now although I am going to work in 1 hour and my dining room table looks like a bomb landed  DH will wonder what happened when he comes home!0 -
Just a suggestion wen-tom, if you are able to do the names in cross-stitch, then you can make the letters small enough to fit onto the gingerbread people!!
You could either stitch a panel and sew it on, or use waste canvas, whch you attach to the material/felt, then remove it once you have stitched it, leaving the cross-stitch work directly on the material.
If you need some help with this, hop over to the cross-stitch thread. You can get free alphabet charts here to give you some inspiration, just click on the Alphabet numbers, and see what there is. You can print out the ones you want then have a play with some squared paper and design it all out.
Right, had my break/lunch, so now back to washing done DS2's room...why is it always bigger than you think!!!

oooooh that is such a good idea :j
I used to do cross stitch many years ago so although I might be a bit rusty I will hopefully soon pick it up again.
I'll have to have a proper look at this later after work - Thank you for the suggestion - I would never have thought of that :T0 -
