It's going to be a cold one in Scotland!

Good grief, best get lining those curtains and lagging those pipes folks. That is way too cold for me... I hope we don't hit anything like that down here.

    I have bought some fleeces from AS*A - 2 for £3.00

They are almost a perfect fit for my curtains across the whole house. I have bought 4 red ones and 2 brown ones, so the living room, my bedroom and my sons room are all covered. I just need to get some purple (or close colour) for my daughters room now!

I can testify that they are quite snuggly as I fell asleep under one yesterday (after a very very late night Saturday!)

I can't find them on the website though, so I can't post a link

I went to Ikea for fleeces this morning and bought two pale blue for 99p each which will hopefully do both boys bedrooms. Will pop to Asda later for other colours for living room, dining room etc.

Wondering where will be the best place to buy pins to attach them with though? Gonna need loads as have 12 windows to do.

I was in IKEA on Saturday as well, never thought to look in there! Did you happen to notice if they do a purple one? I suppose black would be ok instead.

Ikea had black definitely - but all colours except the blue were £2.79 each, which seemed expensive.

I haven't used Milton for decades. Used to use it all the time.
Went looking for it yesterday and neither the bottles nor the tablets give any instructions for using it to make water safe.
There's a warning on the bottle saying it's highly dangerous and should not be ingested.

    Does anyone know?
I emailed Milton and got a reply. I had asked if they had changed the formulation and if it is safe for purifying water still. This is what they said:
Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

You can make water safe for drinking with the Milton Sterilising products.

You need to use 2.5ml of Milton per 5 litres of water or on Milton tablet to 100 litres of water then let it stand for 15 minutes before drinking.

I hope this helps and please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of further assistance,

So it's the same as before. I wonder why it's not on the label any more, nor could I see it mentioned on their website.
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!
