I use Schwarz pkt chicken gravy (beef and lamb higher carb) just use a 1/4 of a pack for 1.5g or 2g in 1/3 of a pack and mix with meat juices, fat and veg water, not oodles of gravy but enough really.0 -

I always like seeing pics in recipes as i can tell if i fancy it or not, so to encourage peeps to give it a go, thought a pic was the order of the day.0 -
Ok so here goes!
My curry is a little green - as are most of my dishes :rotfl:
The 'bits' are either garlic or sesame seeds

Ooh that looks tasty, will have to make it soon, would love a naan bead with either
Right, that does it, i'm off to have mine, starving now.0 -
Shykins - I am so impressed with your weight loss. If I am truthful that is how much I was overweight and have lost almost 2.5 stone in the last 5 months. How long did it take you and how difficult do you find it to maintain the weight loss. One thing that worries me is having the excess skin around the stomach. If you go to the gym can you avoid that?0

Normally I'd just like it as it is. However, seeing it up there, think I may add a little red pepper (finely chopped and added near the end) to perk up the visuals if I was to serve it to people. It's totally tasty but I think it needs 'red' to really set it off. Just a bit
And naan bread is verboten on this WOE my friend, just have some crushed cauli or eat it with crispbreads, or both. So speaketh the M :rotfl:
It's funny, I call it a korma cos of the butter and cream etc but this one is a bit hotlooks like a breeze but does make one re-evaluate and re-calibrate after a mouthful or two

Yes is on page one, mazzers curry/buttery chicken and bhajis,
the link is to youtube, so cant take credit for it but is so fab, a proper curry, make as hot as you like with the chilli powder, really is quick too.
Had cauli with mine for the first time and i must say is a great combo
Daisy altered the bhaji recipe somewhere too, and i did agree with her that it needed tweaking, so hopefully its on page one.0 -
OK this is mainly for recipe list purposes
Chicken korma
1lb chicken either raw or cooked
25 - 40g Butter
madras paste 3 big heaped teasps
2x large leeks, finely chopped
2x celery sticks finely chopped
2 teasp crushed garlic or 2-3 chopped cloves
3x med skinny chillis
150g Green Beans, topped n tailed and cut through middle
2 tblsp sesame seeds
2 tblsp pumpkin seeds
50 - 75 ml double cream mixed with 1/2 as much water
Using raw chicken cook chicken in butter till just sealed, if using cooked chicken, cook leeks etc first then add.
Big frying pan or just big pan plus butter, quick fry raw chicken
Add leeks and celery - finely chopped
make in a cup a blend of chillis, madras paste, garlic plus water
Add mix to pan, stir and blend well
add sesame and pumpkin seeds, stir and add water if required. Cook on bubbling but not boiling heat for 15 mins, turning properly regularly.
Add green beans, cook in same state for 10 mins
add water if necessary - don't let it dry out and keep turning.
Take off heat. Allow to stop bubbling
All is cooked by now, have a minute.
Add mix of cream and water, stir in.
Return to heat and simmer gently for 5 - 10 mins, turning regularly
Tis done!
Obviously amounts need tailoring to your preferences, I like em hot but this is quite mellow as stated, from my experience. Leave out some of the chillis or curry paste if you want it very mild.
