I reckon I'll have a tax bill of about £1800 plus NI.
Gulp.
But you don't have to pay it all at once do you? That would be a nightmare!!!

Bloody Nora!!! :j
Just checked my bank account!!
My job's pay day is today. I thought I'd either get 2 weeks worth of pay, or nothing and have to wait until the end of April (working a month in arrears). I then top up my salary with AQA.
However, I've had £600 paid into my account!! That's a bit more than I would expect to clear for a month, not 2 weeks!
Something a bit odd there - I guess I'll get a payslip when I'm next in work Tuesday. They've either paid me for 2 weeks in a full time post by mistake rather than a part time post (although, I wouldn't expect that, i'm sure they'd check first!) or, they've paid me for the 2 weeks I've worked plus a month in advance, which wouldn't be as good as that would mean £600 would be 6 weeks salary, not 4
Or ,there is something skewy with my tax as I've worked 11 months of this financial year self employed - my last 'pay packet' was the end of last May.
hhmmmm, not sure whether to be pleased or deflated now!
keren
Did you fill out a P46 or hand in your P45 from last May?
Now I have read to the end of the thread  then Louise is right, if you handed your P45 your salary includes the tax rebate.
I cant believe minge beats the swear filter OR you're all discussing my muffin(s)!!! Which by the way, MB wont eat ~ too fruity for him
