Bum.
A fridge just increases shelf life - it will have a shelf life in normal air temperature but not as much.
Some stuff in your fridge doesn't actually need to be there - it's just customary.

I thought that too. How bloody typical of life, give with one hand, get your hopes up then take away with the other plus a bit more for it's trouble.:A

Brilliant result on the Xbox - yes, it's a pain that you might have to buy a new fridge freezer, but think what a situation you would have been in if you hadn't sold the Xbox and the fridge freezer had packed in anyway."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

WELL DONE STE. :T
Actually IA -I think we found your Achilles heel yesterday when we started talking about holidays. We might not be able to say to you have the occassional treat of something for yourself and you take any notice but something for the family.;) Did someone say the offers in the Sun start this wekend. Have you had a look?
I'm so pleased for you both (if not proud - although nothing to do with me) you and Ste have put yourselves in a situation though YOUR OWN efforts, that means that you aren't lurching from disaster to chaos; ok the fridge gives up the ghost - it's annoying but you've put yourselves in a situation through your own effots that means you can cope - bloody fantastic :T You didn't rush out with any spare money and spend it - fridge dies, but you cope - it's your biggest achievement yet :T On an income well below average you can cope with the unexpected and still afford the odd treat likecradle
. I'm sure that means you can afford a holiday, caravan sites are fantastic, swimming pools, kids clubs, beach etc - we've just booked 4 days in May (mid-week away from other people's brats
) £138+58(full board). The Wife is nagging for a sofa still, only 15 months on garden furniture to date, silly wifey.... she wants to 'recline' (be a slob).... in front of freeview :rotfl: I'm so tight

Oh no - what a bum about the FF!!! I too have a spare one sat here.... we rent this place and it has a FF so we have 2 as we own our own one. If we lived closer you could've borrowed it until sorted out.
If you have to buy a new one, worth checking out Tesco Direct, as you'd get Clubcard points too - every little helps :rotfl:
Fab news about the X-Box.... just a shame may have to get a new FF.

well I just wrote out a long reply to your thread and my 2 yr old sidled up and pressed the escape button and I lost the lot grr. It has taken me a few days but I have finally read this entire thread, I couldn't stop it is such complusive reading. You are doing amazingly well. I keep seeing little bits of me in you. The complusive checking and rechecking of where you are and where you have to go. Definitely me. DH used to talk about finding "the manic scribblings of a mad woman" all around the house, but he wasn't complaining when he learned we were debt and then mortgage free. It works! I am so sorry to hear about today's setback with the FF, I wish I was nearer as I have a spare freezer you could have had. We tend to only notice and remember other people's good fortune so it feels like the !!!!!! is only ever happening to us but it does happen to everyone. You are in a much better position to deal with this today than you were on page 1 and I am keeping everything crossed for freecycle. I am sending you and your family a big hug as I think you all deserve it.:grouphug:0
