Where do I sign? For the CA? :D

Well I 'only' lost 2 lbs this week. Not surprised really as I really struggled over the last couple of days and caved in last night and ate far too many peanuts. It was either that or a chocolate cornetto that had been hiding in the corner of the freezer so I'm not sure if I made the right choice or not, lol.

I have my 'regret' head on at the moment. I really wish I'd never got fat, I spend more time being miserable than I do being happy. Miserable cos I'm fat, or miserable cos I'm on a diet. I've spent years being miserable. :rotfl:I'm only laughing cos it's that or cry. By the time I lose some weight and can stop feeling miserable....I'll be too old to get a life.:rotfl: A whole chunk out of my life affected by blubber. I don't subscribe to the 'fat people are happy people' theory btw. Why do we do this to ourselves? I wonder if I promised the big man upstairs that I'll never get fat again, he'd send a wee lottery win my way so I could get some lipo. :D

Anyway, that's today's 'deep thoughts' over with. :D

Mazzers...what lc shake are you having? *Thinks the soya beans would be better covered in the chocolate mentioned on the previous page*. :D

Btw....remember the 'walk with me' monitor thing I told you about? Well I've been wearing it and it's a cheeky git of a thing. The initial target is set at 3000 steps per day and as I've been in the house doing nowt but tracking DIY stuff down on the internet for the past 2 days, I've not reached the target. Not even close. :o Last night, when I transferred the data to the DS, it took delight in telling me what the longest period was that I'd sat still for, and when it registered movement it asked' oh, you moved here, did someone call your name'? :rotfl:

hi all, i know i havent been in for a while but wanted to let u know about a recipe i have been using like 'bread' for sarnies, based on oopsies but using a waffle maker

    1egg
    1 tablespoons (ish) mayo
seperate the eggs and whip the whites - like oopsies - stir mayo into yolks then fold into whites, pour into waffle maker and cook 10mins, enough for 2 'slices'

variations i have done so far:-
grate cheese into yolks for a more cheesey bread -ooh garlic bread hmmm??
add almond flour or protein powder to yolk to improve holdability (is that a word?)
add sugarfree cocoa powder and a little sweetener to the yolks for choc waffles - u could make s/free ice cream to add between the slices for a truly delicious dessert

have only just started making these but have enjoyed a cheese and marmite sarnie for the first time in years!! suspect i may come up with more ideas as time goes along

    enjoy !!!!

hope u are all still living and loving the lowcarb lifestyle

Oooh i forgot about the new waffle maker i bought, looks a bit flimsy to me tho as its a traditional stove type thing.

Teeni, as AH said, the fruit is prob not a good idea. berries are ok in small quantities, and i used to bulk them up with sugar free jelly and cream, but not sure if the jelly was stalling me, so now i defrost a few raspberries, sprinkle with splenda and have with the lidl yogurt with chopped nuts on top.. truly lush.

Alias, those soya beans are salted, hazlenuts are what i've bough for my choc, which i will be making later today after i've roasted the nuts.

The soya beans are 200g bag for £1.05 and 25g = 1.7g carbs.
Would be ok to accompany a glass of wine as they are dryer than peanuts.

Although... i did get a few gripey pains in my tummy when i went to bed, will see if they are the culprit later when i scoff some more.
I hope not, i bought three bags!

Ho Hum, forgot it was valetines day.. not had one for years :(
And never bloody likely to now :rotfl:

On a good note though, i have lost about 7lb, (i think) as i was weighed by the doc i will really need to wait til i go back on his scales tomorrow.

Btw alias, i used the lowcarbmegastore shakes, been in the cupboard for ages, but i think you could get a protien shake almost anywhere now. And dont scoff at only 2lb, it all adds up you know ;)

Sweet i will dig out my waffle maker just for you.

    Hi all!

Hope you are all having a lovely day!

Hi shykins, thanks for the waffle ideas, now on recipe list. Hope you are well!

I didn't do any cooking yesterday as fell asleep then couldn't work up the necessary. Have done it all this morn though :D

5 portions of veg n gammon stoo and about 4 of chicken korma. still have a beef mince curry in the freezer so enough lunches for 2 whole weeks :j

I have to say, making these lunches does make a great difference to general food in the week. I definitely get more veg this way and don't have to think too much in a morning :rotfl:

Big sloppy (but v low carb) valentines kiss to each n every one of you!

Sorry sweet, didnt have much success with the waffle iron, twas a flimsy thing off ebay, an electric one would be better.
Also, dont like the consistency of the lc ones, too eggy, didnt rate the oopsies either for the same reason unfortunately.

Anyway, added some ground almonds and sweetener to saz's recipe and made some pancakes, still too eggy for me but maybe others will like them.

    th_013.jpg

and with cherry davinci syrup ( is a bit watery)

But much more interesting is the butter chicken curry i go on about.

    016.jpg?t=1266162030

Very quick and easy and would be nice with cauli rice.
