Hi all....bit of an "off Robbie" question. Can anyone tell me where the cheap MOT station (think it was run by the college or something) is that was discussed on here some time ago? If not a trustworthy garage would be handy.
Back on the Robbie track...much as I love having MK on the map for massive events such as these it was nice to have a break last night (we live in Furzton). For anyone thinking of going over without a ticket, we picked up general admission tickets from a tout for £10 at about 7.00 on Saturday and there were plenty about. A friend bought golden circle ones in the same way for £40.
Thanks for MOT help!0 -
HI,
I use John Spademan (Garage) in Stony Stratford, I wouldn't say he is cheap. But he is fair! If that makes sense! We get both our cars MOT'd and Serviced there and never had any problems with them.

The Council run garage (which I seem to remember is in Bleak Hall) will do MOT for the normal rate (no special offers because they don't do the work if you fail
)

I would recommend Arden Park in Old Wolverton - they are the only garage I know that take your car in and will spend hours looking at it to see what the problems are and don't charge anything, they also recommend other people if you need an expert in a particular area.
I highly recommend this garage!

Instore in Westcroft seems to be having a bit of a sale. Not sure if there are specific things in it as we just went in for storage boxes (3 of the 35 litre boxes for £8.99) but there were signs up everywhere.
Also, the shop next to WAterstones that has lots of books / childrens colouring books in appear to be having an end of season sale with lots of things reduced.MFIT No. 810 -

Does anyone have the contact details for a kitchen worktop fitting guy? Hubby has nearly finish phase 2 and needs two bits of worktop joined properly. We're in Bletchley BTW.Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

Hi Raksha, we used the DIY Kitchen Supply company in Newport Pagnell and we were really happy with them. It's a family firm and they were very professional and helpful. They're happy to do the whole kitchen or just little bits and pieces if you're doing most of it yourself. Very flexible.
