Tescos have restarted the cd/dvd offer so I have just cancelled the original order and placed it again, so hopefully now there shouldn't be any doubt over the points, so fingers crossed thats 3000 points on their way in the New Year which works out at £120 towards a holiday

Knowing the way some computer systems work, you might end up getting 6000 points if you're not careful.....;)

Seriously though, thanks for the heads-up and sorry if I spooked you. I looked on the "grabbit" board and they were discussing whether it was still on or not....:j

Not spooked at all Mart, thanks for the tip, might even start thinking realistically about a decent holiday for a change if these points come through ;):D

Just checked my quidco and finally my car insurance money has been received, so thats £70 I'll get at the end of the month :j

Nothing much else to report here so far today; I've spent £3.50 on lunch and another £4 at the shop tonight on bread, milk etc, but I did also get 8 packs of roast beef monster munch which have been reduced to 13p each in tescos, yum yum :D

Tonight is housework, bath and a fairly early night I hope ;)

    Hi benben,

I've got a bid on one of my Tesco CD's, Queen Absolute Greatest hits, for £9.28 with 1 day 4 hours to go, only paid £8.75! There are bids on all the rest too, so I think you should be able to make at least half your money back, if you decide to go down the e-bay route.

All the best. I have great plans for my points too. My goal is 8,000 this quarter.

Nothing again on the bingo for me today, think my luck has well and truly run out there  2 x 10p on the scratchcards, nothing new in the banking.

Went round to mum and dads after school and had dinner there, ds is having an early night tonight so he can stay up and watch some of children in need tomorrow night.

Postie brought me a £10 leisure voucher that I ordered from a survey site today, think I'll be able to use it on our works xmas night out too so thats a bonus

I sent off my claim today for cashback on my mobile, should be £93 on its way soon for that :D

Scrooge have your cd's finished yet? I'm tempted to keep the will young one but the rest will probably be heading towards ebay I think.

  • Hi benben,

Five have sold so far. Got £7.20 for Will Young, £9.82 for Leona, £10.01 for Queen, £7.16 for JLS and Robbie came in at £7.50.

Overall, for these five, I spent (£8.75 x 5) with 8% off and have sold them for £41.69. I'm using the same packaging to send them out, that they came in, with just second class postage to pay, so I will have just about broken even, which I'm really suprised about :D.

Hoping the next five will do just as well ....

Another friday night where I'm zonked :o Ds is desperately excited about Children in Need being on tonight, so he's in the bath at the moment and as long as he has pj's on by 7 I've said he can get a snuggly blanket and curl up on the sofa to watch some of it. I've had my bath too and am planning on updating the finances and doing some housework tonight.

I bought some of the M&S bath sets that were on the grabbit board, will be useful for xmas pressies, got 6 items for £8.93 with quidco to come too :D
