We have a Morphy Richards Fast Bake. We have used the odd bread mix once or twice but Hubby is the one that makes the bread and he just measures the ingredients using the measuring cup and spoon that came with the bread maker. Sometimes he lets the machine bake the bread but usually he takes the dough out when it's done and either makes buns with it or a bloomer style loaf. My daughter uses her bread maker to make cake. You can make jam with the machine too but we haven't tried that yet.
Edit: We use Hovis flour (the green bag) as we have found that it makes the nicest bread out of all the flours. We have found also that Waitrose sells a Canadian flour that is really nice too. We'll be using that from now on as Tesco is the only place I have been able to find the Hovis (green bag) and since I no longer shop at Tesco...
Forgive me Forum, for I have sinned!!
After shopping in Waitys and Aldi this week, went to Costco to buy a washing machine and found above bread maker on offer so bought that as well.
Mr T's nearby so went and got flour, seeds etc for it. Used the Allinson flour. Will try the Hovis one later in week. Had gorgeous seeded bread fot brekkys this morning.

Lidl strong bread flour works very well in our breadmaker and is about 70p a bag - worth a try.0

:rotfl: If Mad can cope with just using the facilities and not buying anything, :rotfl: surely we could just pay a visit to collect samples/coupons and not be tempted? :rotfl:Then go and use them elsewhere.0 -

Having M & S chicken tonight, part of the `buy 3 for £10` deal. My washing machine has broken down, don`t think even OH can fix it, so will be scouring the internet, Comet, Currys, etc, tomorrow  Not T`s, though, they are WAY too expensive!0

If you have space, get separate machines, otherwise, if one breaks:eek:, they are both broken:eek::eek:.
When on tumbler mode, it will typically only take half a wash-load.
So you either have to empty half of it out, and do two drying loads....meanwhile, not being able to do the next wash load:mad::mad:
and then have to split that....
or do what most people do:p....forget that it only takes a half loadand have to repair it in a few months when the dryer belt snaps:mad:....
meanwhile, waiting for the parts, you have no way of washing anything, even if it could be hung out to dry.
:rotfl:I don't feel qualified to answer this on the domestic god side of things, (otherwise the wife would have a fit:rolleyes::rolleyes:) just from having to repair the bl@@dy things when the better half overloaded it;), and the kids clothes were breeding in the laundry basket:eek:
Now we have a combi that washes clothes ands a dryer in an outside shed for drying, when the weather is British...( if only I could arrange for Chantelle's "Waitrose" weather in the back garden all the time:rotfl::rotfl:)
