Thank you for letting us know about this. Although I may be deemed a lurker I do contribute sometimes to the discussions on here and I sincerely hope others take this information on board. People may find it funny walking away after their 5th shop of the day but they risk ruining it for others like myself who only shop once a week.
MOC have helped me greatly in these tough times and I really hope those who have abused it calm down and allow the rest to get on with our responsible couponing
I can't imagine going to my T's more than once a day. They do my head in. I usually only call 3 times per week to my local T's (who only accept one coupon anyway), and once per week to a store that follows policy.
My family often ask why i don't go more often, but i just cannt be bothered. I am happy just saving a few quid every week.
Obviously some people are now doing it for a living an making a lot of money.
Shame. I perferred it when hardly anyone knew the policy.
Ah, them were the days. :cool:0 -

Ive known this for years, as my mum used to do it when i was young and I'm 37:o so i learnt from an original couponer;)
funny though i always felt really embarrassed when my mum did it, and now look at me;)0 -
Freefall, from reading your posts I assume you are an internet print user
Well I use whatever coupons I can get my hands on and use legally and within Tesco's own coupon policy and without abusing the system. And the vast majority of them are internet print coupons. I use to coupon in 2005/06 but only came back since I have had money problemsand your posts read as if you are saying if you can't play with your toys then nobody else should have toys either?
No. My posts read as they are written. In short, I think if you go Tesco asking them to ban all internet coupons you will ruin the policy (if your suggestion is taken up by Tesco) for those internet coupon users who stay within the the letter and spirit of the Tesco coupon policy and who use it to make life a bit easier.Normal MOC's are not, in the main, forged or a problem. The problem with internet mocs is greedy people want something for nothing. Not just something but lots and lots of it.
No. A select few people who use internet coupons may be like that but not the vast majority. Furthermore, given the current economic climate I cannot blame people who take advantage of the Tesco coupon policy frequently - as in many times a day. And in the whole I don't think there are a problem with internet coupons generally, just a select few (for example forged couponstar coupons which would be solved by my suggestion of just banning these).Even if they had to pay 50-£1 for a paper or magazine it would be deterrent, and I doubt as many would be bothered to actually pay money out, heaven forbid!
Perhaps. But they would still be saving a lot of money so most would continue.I suspect most would move onto something else, mugging old ladies or credit card fraud perhaps!
Erm. Hardly. However, even if you were correct then the protection of the elderly would be more than sufficient reason for you not to try and persuade Tesco to ban internet coupons.0 -

Really?! I came to know about T's Coupon Policy by chance and this was about a year ago!!! Was the Coupon Policy the same when your mum shopped as it is now?:o Also being taught by an original couponner makes you, definately, a pro...;):p:D:rotfl:0 -

Totally agree with you DTM. If it gets rid of the scammers I don't think anyone would seriously blame Tesco for stopping internet moc acceptance unless you have bought the product. It would be a perfectly reasonable reaction IMHO. Just hoping they don't tar all coupons (and coupon-users) with the same brush.
And to techspec, maybe we are victims of our own successful thread? I preferred it when hardly anyone knew the policy as well.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
