I can drag the 'Clicky' to the line ABOVE the address bar (IYKWIM) onto the actual frame of the screen, that opens the new address, but without the option to view the referral I don't know whether that makes any difference.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Good morning!
good "find" I would have never thought of drag and dropping there, there is a web page somewhere that I came across ages ago and when you visit it it tells you what is being transmitted when you click on a web page
i will try and find it later on and post back here don't have much time at the mo as i'm of to the dreaded dentist for a filling0 -
I used iehttpheaders for IE to perform the following test this small program allows you to see in real time what is being transmitted from your IE browser
Test
http://www.portlandholidays.co.uk/
ordinary click in browser
GET / HTTP/1.1
Accept: */*
Referer: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1892917

Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate

Drag and drop into the area specified by Barnabysue
GET / HTTP/1.1
Accept: image/gif, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, application/x-ms-application, application/vnd.ms-xpsdocument, application/xaml+xml, application/x-ms-xbap, application/x-shockwave-flash, */*
Accept-Language: en-gb
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0; Trident/4.0)

Good news!!
as you can see by the second bit of information the referrer is not being sent when you drag and drop the url into the area specified by barnabysue

Try dropping on a blank new tab or a blank area of the tab bar0 -

Click on Tools-options-Tabs
and select "new pages should be open in a new tab"
let me know if it works0 -
Ok, so seeing the Firefox browser being talked about I have decided to install it myself:D
Have managed to install it and also to get roboform onto it.
Couple of questions (so far!):
1 - how do i transport my favourites list from IE over to Firefox?
2 - when I click on links in an email - for example the email subscriptions from here - is there a way it will open up a new window each time rather than a new tab?
thanks
Edit:
3 - why is firefox so much faster - cant believe how much quicker it is? or is it just me?!Weight Loss - 102lb0 -

For no 1 click on File-import
for no 2 Click on Tools-options-Tabs and select "a new window"
no 3 it's always been quicker for me
Best of Luck0 -
Quick question, FF opens a new tab when you drag and drop. IE doesn't, can it?
Sorry not to reply to your post earlier Al
when I drag and drop into the address bar my FF opens up in the same page I would much prefer it to open up in a new tab as it would be a lot easier to get back to the previous mse page not quite sure how you can change this setting but it will be in FF's about:config somewhere ( I will have a looksie later but don't have time at the mo)
also i'm not that familiar with IE as I have always used Firefox and before that Netscape, but I would imagine that there will be a setting somewhere that will allow you to do this try looking in Tools-General-Tabs settings0
