Have any of you guys any idea what the pink fabric is around this clothes bouquet? The mrs got something similar when we had our daughter and is trying to make one for a friend. She tried crepe paper but got fed up with it as she kept ripping it lol.

argh, tonight i found some real bargain cuddly toys, they were pink elephants, reduced from £10 down to just £1. Went to add them to my basket but the phone rang and they sold out before my order went through!
The next thing im looking to buy are some coloured body suits/vests. ive brought the asda white ones with little animals on but would like some quite plain but coloured (mostly pink and blue) ones, where does everyone get theirs from?Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

Hi when we had our son in Feb we got a beautiful one and it had tissue paper around it. You could even use organza fabric if you can get it shaped right. Hope that helps kelly:male: 2 Beautiful Boys :male::beer: Not uptomyeyes anymore thanx MSE & friends for all your help:beer:0 -
The above bouquet is just tissue paper and yes it does rip so you have to be very careful. I did this one recently. it isn't very colourful but the customer only really wanted white clothes but i stuck in a few yellows to brighten it up a bit. I have to admit it was a bit of a pain to do as the customer wanted it as a hand held bouquet with stems that you can hold. So each item was stuck to florist wire and taped all bundled together and i had to wrap all the stems together with florist tape but then you could still see they were fake so the green fabric i used was from a handtied bouquet from a florist shop it has a hole in the bottom you just slip the bouquet in with the stems hanging down and then wrapped in cellophane then the stems were wrapped in yellow ribbon and tied with a bow i hope that helps.
the pink bouquet looks to me like the items of clothing are just sitting tucked in all together and flowers and leafs placed in it rather that they all being on wires and taped together. This is what i wanted to do and place the bouquet in a florist box the customer didn't want that.
my fabric looks like tissuse but it isn't, it is much stronger and doesn't rip.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -

That's it i couldn't remember the name. i have a good florist/veg shop that sells me things quite cheap. i bought a florist box to do another one for my next fair and it was 70p when other shops tried to charge me between £2.50- £3.50:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -

Here's my cake:
Ingredients:
Top tier: 7 nappies, wrapped in 2 burp cloths
Middle tier: 17 nappies, 1 burp cloth, 2 t-shirt vests, wrapped in 3 t-shirt vests
Bottom tier: 22 nappies, 1 Johnson's baby lotion, 1 Johnson's baby Softwash, 3 burp cloths, wrapped in a blanket. Decorated with 3 sock flowers, 1 hand rattle and 1 pair of teddy booties.
Any feedback/suggestions gratefully received!some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
I love it JailhouseBabe, but maybe also put a ribbon around the bottom tier as you have done with the other two just so it all looks the same. Great first attempt you should have seen mine it was shocking. I actually feel sorry for my cousin who got it and has since seen me give much better ones.
I love those spotty blankets i can't get any more in my store, but if they ever have any more i will grab some.
Well done.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -
