I agree with that one. I think we all need some more sunny weather and better economic news to cheer us all up. A fair few of us have noticed that in general, some people are being ruder and more unkind around here and I can see how that would also put newbies off posting. Unless the MSE team manage to find us another wine/alcohol loophole deal, in which case we'll all be singing and hugging...or at least I will be...0

Maybe when people first log on the should be taken to a page with something along the lines of Instructions, Rules and Guide to Chat? And maybe be required to confirm they have read it before they then proceed?
tbh, if i'd had that when first joined it would have been very helpful, also maybe if a link was put it for the comping guide as well

as i have to admit it took me ages to find it when i first joined, so if the two were combined it might help a lot of new peopleplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
I think there are people who come on here purely to have a row, they seem to love winding folk up especially anyone who asks about benefits or anyone who has a disability and asks about claiming for that.
There really needs to be a way of controlling the repeat offenders who are obsessed about benefit claimants.
Thanks for all your hard work Martin, I have learned a lot on here.Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -
oh how lovely you all are! I signed up a year ago and did nothing cos too daunted (Isn't Sid RUDE (another thread has him ranting at anewbie)?) Have just been made redundant whilst still trying to fund sueing of previous employer for harrassment so am feeling mega fragile and so grateful to see how caring you all are. God bless you Martin and all at MSE towers and beyond0

Only the other day a newbie posted an insurance enquiry in here, the Feedback Board. I replied advising them to post the question again in the right board, and provided a link for it, wishing good luck. It took all of 2 minutes and I can't imagine why anyone would be rude to them.
Then again, there ARE rude people around, and there's no place like the internet that affords angry peeps the chance to take it out on others. Or they just have no manners. My 2p worth anyway.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0
