Heres the original Fruit Cobbler recipe:
    ____________________________________________________
    Fruit Cobbler Recipe

In an oven proof dish add in 1 mug of self raising flour, 1 mug of granulated sugar and 1 mug of milk. Mix it all up so it's thoroughly mixed together and then add 1 tin of value tinned fruit of your choice on top. Bake in the oven on gas mark 4 until golden. The flour mix will rise up above the fruit.

Today I have made one a slightly different way as follows:
    _____________________________________________

    Microwave Fruit Cobbler Recipe

Stew 2 cooking apples in a saucepan until pureed. Add 6oz flour, half a pint milk, 4oz sugar and 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence to a microwaveable dish and mix together thoroughly. Add the apple puree. Look on low power for around 40 minutes.

Does 40 minutes in the microwave work out any cheaper than 40 minutes in the oven?

Would Black Saturn's fruit cobbler work with stewed plums, or would there be too much liquid?
    I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

    Hi Bizzimum,

I think it should be ok with plums. When Chipps posted her recipe for cobbler she said that the consistency would vary depending on the fruit used.
