Not just your opinion, mine as well. I wonder how people with a degree of visual impairment will find it. I wonder if this change was run past the RNIB accessability service ?
As expected, lots of moans about the what are very minor cosmetic changes!
Anyone using a decent browser can remove the colours and display the forum how they want to see it. e.g. users with visual impairment problems could display their pages like this:

Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….

As Martin mentioned, this is a trial.
We're going to leave this colour scheme up over the weekend and we'll be taking it down on Monday to do some more work on the templates. In the meantime, we appreciate your feedback.

Feedback - change it so only you guys can the horrible thing and then put screenshots up after the weekend so we can choose if we like it or not

Please remove it. It is bad for eyes and is beginnign to cause people headaches.
