    I've been Money Tipped!
The vege curry recipe looks nice, I normally do a potato and pea curry but haven't yet adapted it for the slow cooker. I also have a cabbage to use up so will try recipe soon as I feel a bit better.

I have to say, don't get too excited.  The curry was okay the first night, and did get rid of the various things that needed using up, but the second night was, how shall I say, vile less than gourmet :-/.  You might be better using your cabbage for good old bubble and squeak!  (Wonder what that's like with a bit of grated cheese added - doh here I go again ;))

That's the trouble with this board, one gets carried away with enthusiasm, and reality takes a bit of a back seat :-[.

Edit note - Oh rofl, "I disagreeorted" has been filtered in in place of what I typed which was "my a-s-s-orted" ;D Have now replaced the offence with "various" :o

One of us is losing the plot ???
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

  • Any chance of a Christmas pudding recipe please?

Many thanks for all your recipes - I'd also like to point out the Morphy Richards 6.5 litre slow cooker is currently £23.95 reduced in Argos so I've just ordered one!

    Thanks everyone  8)

pud turned out a dream, in on low from 8pm to 7am, cant wait to eat it. Cost me very little for ingredients ;D for the equivalent of a 'luxury' xmas pud.
To do puddings just put the pud in the slow cooker and put water around it to come halfway up the side of the pudding basin.

in my slow cooker now, fridge stew.

left over chicken drumsticks, 2 potatoes, 2 carrots, 1 tin tomatoes, 4 mushrooms, half an onion, 1 clove garlic, bit of gravy powder, a leek, and some pearl barley.

    smells yum.
