Sorry to ask again but can anyone tell me where I went wrong?

I tried to buy a R&M mirror, a £6 gift and a £7 gift and it would not accept a pinky. I did put the mirror through first. Hope someone can help. TIA.

Have you checked your recepit? It is possible that even tho' you gave the mirror first the till rearranged the items and your mirror was counted as the free item  You might have to ask the SA to do it manually and tell her /him you want the other £6 item to be the free one.

Gocat, can I suggest you call customer services. Boots have been a right royal pain in the !!! for me this week.

Ordered GHD's and some Botanics Wipe's. £100.33 and 2900 points. Bargainous. Hmmm maybe not. I got a dispatch email, all ok. Then I got another one saying they had cancelled the GHD's as they were out of stock. :( I checked online and they still said in stock so I called customer services. I got passed through to a senior person who assured me that only £2.33 had been applied for and as the ghd's had been cancelled in error they would honour the points and I could reorder. So I did. This time I ordered an eyeliner I wanted and the GHD's totalling £101.49 and 2004 points. I think everything is fine then what should turn up but the first Boots order - containing GHD's!!! So I check my bank and they have applied for the full £100.33 even tho senior boss lady assured me only £2.33 gone, and then I think oh balls I don't want the second order and can't afford another £100 to come out of bank. So I call customer service who say there is nothing they can do about it. Luckily I was tired and fed up of ringing up so just said ok well I will refuse delivery then and they said ok you do that. Then I get an email telling me that the 2nd order has been despatched but that the GHD's have been cancelled off again. So there I am thinking !!!!!! not again, luckily I paid via paypal this time and having checked my emails and paypal have only been charged £3.49 which is the price of the eyeliner. Woohooo, and they are going to honour the points on the second order but its still been a load of hassle I could have done with out.

On a lighter note I just got a job with Body Shop and secondly I have had my eyelashes permed and tinted today so I feel pampered lol x

I think it may be because you included a £7 item and this will have confused the till, even though you put the mirror through first.
I would stick to 3 items at £6 if I was you, this seems to work for others.

If anyone manages to use a pinky on the half price Ruby and Millie set could they let me know.

I'm going to Meadowhall specially tonight but if I can't use the voucher I'll just get it from the website instead.

    Thanks!
  • Morning all,

Just a quick question for 'Tin Tin' /anyone in the 'know' - IF you don't use your advantage card and do 'dodgey' transactions and then later have the points added (validated receipt) can Boots still 'see' what you have bought?? - eg when you do add points via validated receipt they scan the barcode, so I assume this highlights/records ALL the purchases - so its ALL recorded on their system........... they can 'see' exactly what you have bought from the validated receipt???

Hope this makes sense!!.......... thanks for any helpxx

Not been bootsing again today:( I will HAVE to pop in tomorrow. I don't care if I don't buy anything. I am happy enough just wondering around the xmas gift section. It's my favourite pastime:rotfl:

What are we like?!!:rotfl:I went in,twice, yesterday, and I think I'm going back in today - OH wants to go shopping() so it'd be rude not to go with him, wouldn't it?! I agree that the Christmas gift section is fab - I can spend ages wandering up and down the aisles - still not very familiar with the catalogue but I've seen loads of luvverly things in the shop. I don't know who else I need to buy for tho - have two DSs and only one niece - she's getting a fab pressie this year with loads of glitchy make up!

Morning, everyone - have a happy bootsing day!

You could get 3 of the No7 mens items @ £6.50 each (on offer @ 342 so £13.00), the No7 mens GWP (free), and 1 x No7 cosmetic sponges @ £4.00 (this takes your spend to over £20.00 so you can use the PC voucher).

This should then be £7.00 to pay when the pinkie and voucher come off. Not bad for all those items :D
