    Hello,

it refers to the bog standard points that you get for any transaction in Boots - 4 points for every pound spent. I had spent 50 pounds therefore I got 4 points for every one of those pounds which made 200. On top of this I had a voucher for 300 points if I spent over £35 in one transaction which I got from the advantage card machine and I did this shop on a bonus points night where you automatically got another 1000 for spending £50 or over. Does that make sense? Sorry, I tend to waffle a bit!

Perfect sense thanks - see my previous post

Not sure if any on dicount codes board and must run...er like a few minutes ago lol...but http://www.appliancesonline.co.uk is who runs the boots appliances site and they are often cheaper by miles even with codes etc. They used to be on quidco, may be back on again, not sure. Sorry...not much help lol *dashes*
I did the which magazine thing and decided to pay a bit extra and buy a Bosch tumble dryer as it saves you money in the long run with the moisture detector thing. I searched on line for ages and looked at Boots etc. I found my tumble dryer on the Coop appliances site and it was cheaper than anywhere. Free delivery and I was really pleased with it. Also it comes with a 2 year guarantee and so you don't have to pay for the extended warranty. Taffy

Yes in theory, I did this today at manned tills. The only problem seemed to be that the tills didn't recognise that the FCUK is a xmas 342 (according to .com and xmas book) The SA had to over-ride it, but I did get it in the end :j. Don't know how this would work on SS, maybe you could get the SA to over-ride it then get him/her to disapear while you do the pinkie/ts thing :rotfl:

If you carry on past the Lush shop there is another Boots half way down Whitefriagate... Not a very big one, and no SS tills.

Sorry to ask again but can anyone tell me where I went wrong?

I tried to buy a R&M mirror, a £6 gift and a £7 gift and it would not accept a pinky. I did put the mirror through first. Hope someone can help. TIA.

Mimi does the gwp definately go through with each s&g gift set? Even the free on or am I reading it wrong? if it does I'll try it tomorrow TIA

Hi. I tried doing the S&G redemption with 1/3 off, but it didn't work. I got the lot anyway. Then called CS, who said that offer was a month old and it was not working at the moment. Said take the lot back if you don't want it. I thought why not. On the way there, it just happened upon me that I could get the 300 ACM points, use the double points and what I thought was 350 points when you spend £35 (it was actually when you spend £40, so it beeped and it didn't work), which I thought would be compensation as the redemption thing was not working, just my blummin' luck cos I was thinking I could have used up my £175 worth of points! I got 6 x Clean On Me Shower Gels, which cost £30.00, I bagged 2 x GWP's and 2 x lunches. Went up to the till. Lady said it wouldn't work. I pouted and did big puppy dog eyes. She said I will try it and it worked. Everything went through. Told you all pouting pays off! Got 300 points, 120 points and 120 double points. So in total, I spent £36.00, got 540 points back and a brand spanking new PINKIE! Needless to say my arms were almost falling off as I had to walk to the train station, and then carry the whole flamin' lot home, which was about 10 minutes! My Mum was like WHAT HAVE YOU GOT THIS TIME. I was like MUM IM NOT IN THE MOOD, QUIET PLEASE! I can't believe I will have 9 x Clean On Me's, 3 x GWP's with me tomorrow. Someone should come and carry my bags for me. PASH where are you? *** I've worked out that if the extra points/double points do not work with the 1000 Xmas points, I will tell them to keep the Xmas points and do my extras as they add up to 1500 points. £50.00 spend, 1500 points in return and a brand spanking new PINKIE! Woohoo. *** Meeting a friend of mine next week. Won't see him for Xmas, so I'm thinking a NO 7 GWP and maybe even a NO 7 product for him. I'm such a cheap skate! LOL. Woohoo. Go me! *** Anyway, sorry guys, I do go on a bit. Promise not to post over the weekend. I'm sure you are all bored of reading my essays. Sorry. :o:o:o

Look at your receipt - which item was taken off as the freebie? Even though you put an item through first, the till rearranges things (don't know its "reasoning", but it happens). So I'd guess that either the mirror came off as free, or you got an item that wasn't part of the 342 xmas stuff. If it was neither of those things, there's no telling.
