  • Just got 2 x Hipp organic on clearance 14p each and received till spit.

Has anyone combined a photo till spit with either a mag coupon, an ACM coupon or a PC coupon (or all 3 :rotfl: ) yet? I am planning photo printing sessions - annoying though that 24 hr printing is cheapest and you risk the other items in your carefully planned shop not being there next day.

Just back from boots and nearly s**t myself!
Got 12 expert items, p&p, bronzing pallette (reduced to £4.25), gwp palette, fridge frames, nail files. No.7 SA (who i've always been terrified of and avoid like the plague) came running after me and offered to hold my basket till i've finished shopping as it looked heavy. Well 12 bottles of expert is heavy but i clung on to it and shooed her off. I thought she either thinks i'm going to nick the p&p or wants to scrutinize my basket as they've identified me as the expert wogger. I did 2 laps round the store and went to nice young coupon friendly SA at the front. At this point she runs over to the no.7 woman and says coo-ey and says i have to pay at the no.7 counter :eek:
I was a bit worried as had 2 different name acm vouchers and 30000 points on my card but thought what the heck i gave her my 2nd card with no points on and thought i'll just tell her to leave it if she won't take the coupons. To my surprise she scanned the lot, manually inputted the £5 PC that wouldn't scan and was really pleased it was £10.88 with 1042 points back.
She then went on to remark that i should be on that program with that man :money:who tells you how to save lots of money. Just pretended i didn't know what she was talking about .
    Pink boxes still £6.50

Ok I think I am going mad (I don't think I am but it is possible) but Im sure I saw a pack for a face peel kit somewhere near the clearasil/witch stuff. The brand was on offer at 2 for £6, the peel kit was around £10 ish and I was thinking hmmmmm I wonder!!!! But then got distracted by someting else, now I simply can not remember what the range was!

I remember studying the SEL offer and there werent any exclusions on it either......someone help me please.........
Will not spend more money:naughty:, but will spend more time looking for that great bargain!

I guess there is no need to seal the stuff on the no7 counters as the SA's are VERY eagle eyed! However, you would have thought that all of the major companies who have unmanned stands would automatically put an easy to remove seal on their items as it would save a fortune and deter people opening to test.

One of my locals has a unmanned No7 counter and the other has all the No7 right next to the perfume counter. But not sure if any are No7 consultants. And another I occasional frequent has the No7 again right on the end of perfume counter but you almost have to go behind the counter to get to the items. If there are no staff on that counter then people can be mucking about with the stuff.

So there is a need to seal the makeup on all there brands as they are not all on manned stands.

Also I have witnessed staff drop an item that has opened and they go and get another one for the customer but how I am to know that they have not put the one that opened back on the shelf.

Also I find the No7 powder I use it just has a loose lid on it and no clip so can come open in your bag. And if something rubs on it you get nice gouge marks all over the powder and handbag full of powder :rotfl:

    Yours

Agree wholeheartedly. So grammar school girls wouldn't dream of stealing a nail varnish obviously. (I know in this case she didn't but I too am mad at the implication inferred. How do we fight the stereotypes if the berluddy media wont try to just report news! )

    Palice,
Thanks for taking the time to give me info on the All about eyes stuff. Typical that they put the decent stuff into glass isnt it! I seem to be getting on quite well with L'Oreal Derma Genesis at the moment, both the day and night creams, my skin is far more radiant than when I used the Clinique. As for the No 7 P & P, I've decided after a few attempts that my skin just will not tolerate it. The day cream is easier on my skin than the serum, I end up with little white spots just under the skin each time I try the serum - what causes this Palice? (sorry everyone, this is my personal beauty therapist thread not Boots :o:D Still it may help someone else)
:D Aww thanks again! I had to read up on white bumps - I assumed they were something to do with clogged pores and that's right; they're called 'milia' (link and link -the 1st link is a little scary, I assume yours weren't that bad!) they're hardened clogged pores (or cysts) where the skin has grown over the top, some sites suggest that they come from skin creams that are too rich for your skin - maybe the silicone content of the P&P is too high for your skin? I looked at the other ingredients and there doesn't seem to be anything particularly unique to P&P that other serums don't have so I can't really say exactly what it is that's causing it in your case?

Also, I agree with you and blodwin, but that's typical daily mail over-sensationalising everything. I bet it wasn't as bad as they said, and of course whether the girl went to grammar school has no relavence. I wonder how it'd have been written had she been black or asian...
;) One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you! ;)

Ugh, can't stand people using non testers to test makeup, especially when there are testers available (ok, not an option with nail varnishes) And !!!!!! does it matter if she's a grammar school girl? Grammar school girls are less likely to nick stuff are they?

    Anyway...

The new No7 GWP must be good, as Mr Buffy Bat was in Boots at lunchtime and called me to tell me that "the No7 GWP looks really good actually, very stylish..." :rotfl:

He was talking about getting some more No7 for men stuff earlier this week, so I think he may have a plan...

I had him stand by the Clearance shelf and recite the contents to me on his mobile, nowt I really wanted though :D

On the subject of things I do want...

Yoohoo! MrsBlueBear...are you there? Think it was you who bought the browny No7 summer palette (the one with about 7 shades of brown and cream) and was planning on using it as a bronzer? If it was you, does it work, and does it "mess up" the divisions between the colour if that makes sense? I've already got one to use as eyeshadows, but if I can find them for less than £5 tonight then I might get a second to use as a bronzer...

    *Edited to add picture*

Oh, and have any of you bought one of these?

    hero.jpg

I bought the pink one when we had the printable No7 vouchers, but have been really disappointed, as I find that within an hour of applying it, all I've got left on is some pink gritty glitter, meh!

Hey hunni :) Yes, it was me sweetie, sorry for late reply but I've been afk :o

It works beautifully as a bronzer but does blurr the colours, I'm quite fair but found the subtle colours in the pallette give me a nice glow as opposed to the full on tango'd look that a lot of bronzers give me :D

I am thinking about buying a digital photo frame with some of my points :) Thought it was about time I got rid of some.

Has anyone got one from Boots or has any idea of what I should be looking for (in terms of resolution, etc)?

sorry for quoting x2, but I have the same reaction with the P&P, glad i'm not the only one!, I asked my mum (who used to be a beauty consultant) and she said its probably because my skin is still abit young for serums etc as I still have quite oily skin (i'm 35 btw and I love my mum for saying i'm too young). Would love to know if anyone has found an alternative to P&P (from boots obviously lol) as I do like the way it makes my skin look more even.
    thanks in advance
