Have cash ISA from previous years
I have saved an amount of money in a cash ISA over a few years at Nationwide, about 10K. As at the moment the cash ISA rate is something like 0.25% I was wondering where I could put this money so it would make more interest than I am getting at the moment. I have set up a new cash ISA at Barclays for this year, is it worth…

S&s isa
Hi folks, This year is the first time I'm trying out a S&S ISA, held with Fidelity. I'm not looking for financial advice, just anyones thought's on what I'm doing. Normally, I use a regular saver account each year to build up the majority of the £3600 that I put in a cash ISA. Recently, I've sold some shares I bought on a…

Monthly Interest Cash ISA
I transferred my cash ISA to Natwest at the beginning of the financial year. The interest is paid monthly. My understanding was that the interest does not count towards my £3,600 annual limit. However, I was informed by a customer services representative today that in fact it does. As far as I can tell this is not made…

S&S ISA Question
Hi, Im 24 and am looking at saving for the future. Im self employed so need to sort out my own pension/retirement fund and think its probably best to make a start now. I dont like the idea of putting it into a pension and having it locked away, I like to be able to 'see' my money! I am thinking of putting away £50 per week…

More Than 1 Mini-Cash ISA in one tax year?
Hello, I'm aware that only £3600 can be put into an ISA in each tax year but is there any limit on how many ISA accounts you can open in one tax year. I always assumed it was one, but recently read that it is possible to have two mini-cash ISA's in one tax year. Any thoughts?

Fight back
What can we do to complain and fight back? I can't believe that the banks etc can pay a much higher rate of interest on their non tax efficient savings accounts!! For instance, my LTSB ISA is currently paying 1.5% (non fixed rate account) and yet the Skipton Esave Fixed rate is paying 3.85% to Feb 2010, which after tax…

Best ISA to transfer into
Hi, I have a Nationwide ISA with £8.5k in it. I also have £3k sat in a Nationwide E Savings account to put in as this years ISA amount. Anyone transferred to M&S?
I've got money in Barclays Tax Haven and the Tax Beater (I was lazy last year and didn't move it) and I was wanting to move all this to the M&S ISA. Anyone done this? I was looking at the application and I believe it asks you for account no. and sort code of the account. Do you put the details of your current account or…

Newcastle Building Society
What do people reckon to this ISA? It's a long 5 year term, but you can still withdraw on 90 days notice. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/savings/5647284/Wealth-workout-savers-win-as-banks-tussle-for-funds.html Can't see it listed on MSE though.

Abbey Safety Pep/ISA
Hi , first time poster here. I'm trying to help an elderly relative sort out a few investments, she has a couple of queries and the first is with Abbey National. She is happy to keep all existing investments where they are as she is not one for change. She has a few Abbey Safety PEP/ISA's and we're not sure if these are…

Has my cash isa for this year been automatically opened?
Hi Fellas, I opened a Barclays Tax Haven variable rate isa for the 2008/2009 year. Anyway I've been lazy and havent switched it out, havent done anything with it, I got a letter through recently and the rate is very poor. 0.86 percent or something. I'm assuming they've opened an isa for me for this year, or are they just…

In June 08 I took out a Regular Saver ISA with First Direct for 12 months and as such it's just finished. First Direct won't let me take out another Regular Saver with them this year and will only offer me an E-Saver (less interest), they do say I can transfer the money to a different bank though and take out a new ISA…

Company takeover and ISA implications
Hi, I'm hoping someone can advise (just hope this hasn't been posted before). I have an S&S ISA and two companies within that ISA are being taken over (one looking guaranteed and the other still awaiting confirmation). This is good in the scheme of things but I assume not so for my ISA. I'm thinking I won't be allowed to…
