    Password 9th Feb 18 at 9:23 PM
Forum just told me to change my password as it is over a year old.

For Petes sake there is nothing worth securing on this forum so why the ridiculous idea you should have to regularly change your password.

I thought that the whole point of MSE was to bring common sense into things instead of being idiotically bureaucratically stupid.

    Rant over

I had the same thing today. And thought much the same. And it wasn't easy either.., used same email address and it wouldn't permit me to because it was already used (what a surprise). And a major pain. I can understand on Amazon but here?

I got told off for my password being 3915 days old. Which seemed a rather arbitrary policy to have.

    Multiple ironies associated with this:
It doesn't make your account more secure.
You can change your password to the same one
The change is made on an insecure form

I just entered the same password. Accepted that and my original email.

But it does worry me that someone could log in as me a nick my cakes!

    Ha Ha!

Just leave the old ones out on the window, just in case.

Mine was over 4000 days old lolol. Its my old familiar. Quite sad I've had to change it (wish I hadn't now).

I thought it was scammy - took me a while to brave it lol. Didn't find mention of it on twitter so eventually bit the bullet and hoped my screen didn't turn blue or have some bloke laughing at me from the screen in perpetuity like in Jurassic Park.

I'm obviously more suspicious than most

We made it! One graduated, 2 currently at university, been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk!

I did too, but the request page seemed like MSE. Bit wierd that someone with a 12 day old password was asked to change too. Now worried again.

Looks like they've done this to everyone from what I can see.

We've been complaining about it over on another sub-forum.

I don't see the point - considering that the forum itself is STILL insecure (despite complaints that have been made about that for quite some time on the relevant sub-forum).

LOL, I have forgotten the new password I was "required" to enter so have now "forgotten" it again and reset to the old one.

I do rather like the non answers given by MSE Andrea on the other thread. Sir Humphrey would be very proud of the team.

However, it is much more serious that there is a threat to the supply of cakes from G-M, I predict global diplomatic crises will soon loom. Has anyone contacted Mr Kipling yet to secure an alternative supply?
